I always love OAP polishes so I know I'll enjoy these too. Ground breaking? No. But a good reliable cream/finish and a rock star of a brush? Yeah, these are boring to me too. I'm sad bc I used to get so excited when OAP released new collections. I think it's because the collection is so small, it's hard to make an interesting color story, especially when the finishes are not particularly exciting either. It's weird because I absolutely loved the Orly Loose Threads collection even though it's all creams. I think the marketing of it and the size of the collection were just right.

Omg yeah that Orly collection looks sooo beautiful! Though realistically I would only really wear half of them lol, I do appreciate the color story & theme as a whole. I agree that having just 4 shades makes it so much harder to hit the same way

I really like Night Court. I'm disappointed that the shimmer in Glamour doesn't have more punch.

Colors are fine. Pretty shades but I dont wear cream or plain type polish. I do appreciate night court alot. I like silver vs gold, but don't care for super bright mirror shine on nails. This is a gunmetal marcasite kind of feel. A little more edgy rock n roll vs pop. If that makes sense. If I were to buy one that would be the shade. After visiting the site I can say I super appreciate her dropof color comparisons in her slides of photos. Very helpful.

yes definitely makes sense! i was thinking edgy for that shade too. and i’m glad you enjoy those color drop comparisons! i do really like those too but feel like i’ve seen others say they don’t, and would prefer seeing comparisons as a skittle. which i think she’s been starting to do, at least on social media! but the color drops are beautiful so i hope they stay 👩🏻‍🎨

I love OA polishes and ordered Willow and Night Court. I didn’t buy Glamour because it seems close to Raindrop which I have. My favorite purple this season is Chosen. Initially I wasn’t drawn to Dracarys because it felt more like summer but now I am and included in this order. I’m never disappointed and sometimes go back for something that’s more appealing later. Thanks for the demo!

I agree with the seasonal wearer aspect. I'm just craving for more warm toned autumn leaves kind of shades, so... maybe in 2 months, look back on these?

Yeah for sure! Though I do have another wintery~ collection coming Monday and I was admittedly more excited for those 🙈 BUT definitely won’t wear any of them until December either way haha still have to enjoy fall shades!!

These shades are so pretty, but I am very biased for blue and teal shades. I very much appreciate the pink shimmer not getting lost in the first Glamour. Too many times have I bought a polish for the shimmer and it disappears while on the nail! 😅

Yeah it’s not completely lost like in other shades, but it is pretty subtle still in most lighting where at first glance it just looks like a creme, at least imo. But I guess you can always layer a topper for more sparkle!

I guess I’m in the minority here but I like Glamour. Well I like them all but for Winter with the exception of Glamour. I would wear it now. It’s by no means glamorous, as the name would suggest, but I like a subtle change of pace in the middle of a season sometimes. I won’t be purchasing any of them though. Yay on getting these in PR! My faves: Willow, Night Court I find it interesting that you thought OPI’s My Dogsled is a Hybrid was way darker than Willow! @PolishedYogi Which indie quick dry topcoat brands do you recommend? Do you still not recommend the glossy top coat from Olive Ave when doing nail art and stamping? If you dont recommend it for stamping, which ones would you suggest?

i don’t do stamping so i’m not sure, but yeah the Olive Ave topcoat would almost always smudge my nail art even after waiting much longer than usual. i’ve heard water based top coats or even peely base coats can work well to prevent smudging if thats what you need, i just dont have experience using either. my favorite topcoats are mooncat, ilnp and cirque, i’ve heard really great things about KBshimmer and Cuticula too which i believe are more affordable!

@PolishedYogi Is Olive Ave's glossy top coat still good for just single color manis. I love her matte one. Is there a reason why the glossy one still smudges your nail art even though it's not supposed to?

The color story is beautiful, but for a “winter collection,”, it feels VERY odd to be releasing shades with names inspired by a Midsummer’s Night Dream? They just don’t match… I wonder if that’s adding to the dissonance that’s making this collection a bit harder to be excited about… Titania I would change *completely* if the name is being kept. The royal purple is nice for a fairy queen, but it’s… Too plain for Titania. Where’s the shimmer? Where’s the glam! She’s not just any queen, she’s a *fairy* queen, a character so famous she changed folklore, since Titania doesn’t actually exist in fae myth before Shakespeare created her to be Oberon’s wife.

Yeah I’ll be honest I wasn’t familiar with any of the inspo for this collection so I’m just blindly trusting Walker, but you’re right hearing Titania is supposed to be a fairy queen, this shade does feel a little flat 🥲 (though it definitely nails classic “Royal” vibes) - maybe it would be more magical with Flora layered on top, that kind of reminds me of fairy wings 🤔
