Since the inception of this series Oliver Grayson has been a clear fan-favorite, considering We have been asked in every video’s comment section to make a video on him. Now… is finally the time. Making his debut in episode 4 of season 2 of invincible Oliver Grayson is the son of Nolan Grayson and half brother of Mark Grayso. Oliver is a complex character and one who we see a lot of character development for over the series. Oliver very much reminds me of Damian Wayne from a personality perspective, and his actions often can seem selfish… but he is one of the most interesting and well written characters in the series.

I think it's important to note that in Thraxxan culture after a few weeks an individual chooses their own name. However, Debbie gave Oliver his name. Basically, by giving Oliver his name, she's stating that she is fully committed to his raising, and that she is his "mother".😢

This could be also why Oliver does not fully connect to humans. He's aware of conversations around him even at birth, So Oliver would've known he should choose a name for himself but Debbie took that away from him. He also calls her Mummy Debbie cause he knows he had another mother back on Thraxxa

I like how even Oliver's children, like himself, have almost zero physical features of their mother and are mostly Viltrumite, despite being technically only 25% Viltrumite. It's as if Viltrumite DNA really overwrote the other races' DNA overtime, bringing the hybrid closer to a pureblood Viltrumite the more they aged. It makes us wonder if they could ever match pureblood and human-hybrid Viltrumites in power if given enough time to mature and train... too bad we'll never see that happen in the series.

Maybe the Viltrumite DNA really overwrites the other race's DNA for the most part, so all hybrid Viltrumites end up closer to pureblood Viltrumites the more they age. Still, it seems that not being a human/Viltrumite hybrid really limits their potential: despite having five years to grow in strength, Oliver never got to the same level as Mark or Nolan. This is a sharp contrast to Mark, who, according to Conquest himself, was almost stronger than Nolan by the time of their rematch.

I really hope they give Oliver's kids some more screentime to interact with Terra, not necessarily for them but to rund out more of Terra's character. The most we ever see of that is her saying that babies are boring and being annoyed at having to hang out with them when she could be having fun with her new powers. Or bring them more into the Emperor Mark and make the Grayson family seem bigger than just Mark, Eve & Terra (since we dont really get to see Debbie or Marky post Thragg & Robot war either) I guess if they, Marky & maybe Marky's sister were with them in the final 500 year timeskip page, itd be difficult to tell from the distant perspective of the reader, since by that point all of them would've changed to their Viltrumite parents' skin tone and no longer be red - or black in Marky's sister's case

Ngl some of the issues towards the end have a bit of a different art style to them, it’s a bit rushed and not as defined which is what I think makes Oliver And Marks designs look a little wonky, hoping They make older Oliver and mark look better when we get to that point

I too prefer the purple skin but narrative wise it makes sense that he loses it as his Viltrumite dna takes him over more and more
