Oliver Rousteing - Balmain

Oliver Rousteing is making an impact on the fashion industry in more ways than one. He was the youngest ever creative director of a French couture house and the first of African origins. He speaks of the taboo subject of race which everyone was thinking but no one wanted to say in the 2010s. Oliver has managed to make Balmain a major social media player with his Balmain Army to help him spread awareness for inclusivity and diversity.
Of course he has dress any and all a-list celebs, like J-Lo, Beyonce, Zendaya, Sydney Sweeny, Diane Kruger, Taylor Swift, Jodie Turner Smith, Ariana Grande, Tyla, Juliette Binoche, Ice Spice, Elle Fanning, Mariah Carey, Anya Taylor Joy, Anitta, Gigi Hadid, Taraji P Henson, Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Trevor Noah, Justin Bieber, Joan Smalls, Demi Moore, Margo Robbie, Emily Blunt, Lil Nas X, to name a few. Also he created 12-13 outstanding bespoke looks inspired by Beyonce’s Renaissance Album. He’s had many collabs with brands such as Barbie, Evian, L’oreal Paris, H&M, Victoria’s Secret, Pokemon, Puma and Disney’s The Lion King.
He was also the focal point of a Netflix document around his professional and personal life, and he went in search of his biological parents. His design esthetique also is reflected in his interior design. This talented designer is definitely one to watch as he leaves his mark not only in fashion but also perhaps to make the world a better place.

Maybe it’s not an easy transition to move as he’s in charge of a fashion house in paris but perhaps he wants to help as much as he can after discovering his heritage.
