I have been following sense birth... So did I cry? Heck yeah I did! I can’t even believe how big he’s gotten! I have cancer, ms and seizures so I went MIA for awhile. Only watched videos here and their lately, and Finn has gotten so soooo big! It’s insane how much I’ve missed. But it’s okay, I’m catching up now! I can’t believe how big Ollie is!

In the UK our children go to pre school at the age of three, and start school at the age of four for five days a week fro nine in the morning till three thirty in the afternoon.

Ours start typically at 5 and turn 6 during kindergarten or the summer after, but Oliver is young for the grade level and was in private school before so was likely held back since he is already 6. Additionally, some districts do full days and others do half. Depends. Some have preschool at 3 and 4 and head start at 2. Just depends.

In America you cannot start kindergarten until 5 years old and you have to be 5 before the school year starts. Finn is still 3 so he is in preschool. Also it is only recent in the last 20 years that kids start kindergarten at 5. They used to start at 6. I used to be a student side for a kindergarten class and we had one 5 year old and he was the youngest kid in the class. The rest of the kids were 6 year olds.

Ollie had the option to do kindergarten last year but because of his birthday he would have been the youngest in his class so they made the decision to hold him back a year. Finn also has an odd birthday and the law actually requires him to wait a year(have to be five by September 5)
