Damn. As a disabled person myself I WISH I had Heidi's confidence in self-advocacy. I have MASSIVE respect for how she realizes the fields she has difficulty in and immediately tries to find a way to work around them, and how she takes NO condescending shit.

Dr. Sacks was a gift to all of us with neurological disorders. For me, his writings were comforting to me. I wasn’t the only one who experiencing epilepsy weirdness.
