Andrew, your dedication to detail make a nice Oliver that you can be proud of for many years. It is nice to see your father and grandmother pitching in on the restoration. You saved one more tractor from the scrap heap. Blessings to you.

My father & I agreed to have very little to do with each other. You having that loving relationship with your father is very special (you don't need me to tell you that).

Nicely done. I think that seat going back is for farmers that stand up straight while driving. Love the sound too.

I always do a motor oil flush. It cleans all the oil passages and breaks down sludge. I sincerely believe in this.

Your dad did a great job, a hell of a lot of work in that prep and paint work. Well done for salving another piece of our farming history. One bit of advice from an old hand, before you start it, disconnect the coil and crank the engine over , this will pump oil up to the top end and fill the oil filter and build oil pressure, before you actually start the engine.. very important

Kudos to you Andrew, I never realised you were a student, I assumed wrongly that you must have been a diesel mechanic apprentice or the like, my mistake because mate you do a job befitting so,done much older and experienced so a real credit to you. Awesome to see your Dad and you work so well together, he obviously has a positive influence on you and you on him. That little tractor came up beautiful Andrew. My first tractor was a little TEA20 MF and that little tractor helped me build my farm . When I got my bigger tractor I restored her and she spent the rest of her time with a slasher behind her. Credit to you son, great restoration

I’m still figuring out who had more fun; you or your Dad 🤔😉. Well done it looks and sounds great. I’ve done an Oliver 77 , Farmall H, Ford NAA, and a Case VAC . for a friend who collects Tractors. I’m working on a 1946 Gibson now, gotta make all the parts for that one but I still like doing the work 👍

Instead of ATF, use 2-Stroke oil with Acetone. Burns off quicker than ATF and a better lubricant. Great energy with you and Dad. What is Dad's day job ? New Hampshire 👍👍

I think your paint technique is brilliant, brush on the primer and first color coat. I’m using that one. 👍🏻 Another way to check for TDC is to put a wood dowel down the spark plug hole and rotate the engine until the dowel is at its highest point.

Does your dad get a little sad when the last tractor is almost done he might end up bored because there is nothing to do to both assist his son in restoring something he is proud of his son for, and doing these things makes him happy to be part of? I Am Proud of You Both, a Beautiful Close Family the Way things Should be, a Perfect Example for ALL.

Nice job! At 34:00, the seat slides to the rear to make more room for the operator to stand at the steering wheel. Here's a vintage Ferguson video showing it in action: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q324o6xnZryCr5osi=QQiCcMEyPp8E_u16&t=183

I like your work and your videos. It is so great that your Dad helps you. I am not quite sure of why you restore these old tractors. Is your place a nursing home for old neglected tractors??? None the less, it is a wonderful thing that you are doing. If my Dad was alive, he would love to see your collection in person.

haha, I like the nursing home analogy. Maybe more like a rehab center!
