Is your throttle lever creeping up or down? This video shows how to adjust or fix the throttle brake on 00, 50 and 55 Series Oliver tractors.
The flat plastic washer is part # 102566A, both the 00 and 50 series use this washer.
The cone shaped plastic friction piece is # 102568A and is used in 00, 50 and 55 series tractors.

@ThatOliverGuyChris

@@jeffgraves1793 Korves Oliver has them. Google their name, you'll find them. Their harness does not have the resistance wire going to the coil, so you either need to get a ballast resistor or a 12 volt coil. Give them a call, they're very knowledgeable and can give the options.

Another awesome how-to video! On our 1755 the throttle used to creep down from full throttle mowing hay..but what was worse was you would be going down the road full throttle in 6th gear overdrive, start coming up to a stop sign or ready to descent down a hill and I would back off on the throttle a little bit -but it would drag the over /under lever with it and it would click it down into direct drive which obviously sounded and felt terrible. I can’t remember now what we did to fix that but I only let it happen once lol

My 2-70 over/under lever was all but stuck to the throttle shaft when I got it. Give it some throttle and you went up a range! It took awhile, but I sprayed some Fluid Film on each side and it creeped in, just had to hold the one I didn't want to move until it freed up.

@@ThatOliverGuyChris have you ever heard of Aero Kroil? If you research it you’ll probably read conflicting opinions on it but I can tell you from a few years of experience using it working on heavy equipment the stuff is awesome.

Yes sir thats the stuff. Google Kano Laboratories youll see their website. It is expensive. Are usually buy a case of 13 ounce cans at a time. That one case will last me about a year. I spray everything from stuck pins in forklift masts to exhaust manifold bolts to Oliver throttle parts lol. The trick is you have to let it sit so you have to plan ahead. A lot of guys will say it doesn’t work because they spray it on some thing and then come back 30 seconds later and snap them bolt off. I did a set of leafspring bushings on a road tractor last winter that were a rusty ugly nightmare. About three days prior to doing the job I brought it in the shop and started spraying them every time I walked by. When I went to finally do the job I put my electric three-quarter impact on the bolts and took them all out like they were just put in yesterday

Another good video Chris. After just putting a clutch and a TA into a IH 856, I sure do miss working on the green and white tractors. They are just so much easier to work on. Take and good luck with spring planting.

If you're driving in "roll" pins, use a pair of needle nose vise grips, squeeze them down on one end of the pin. Makes it much easier for them to get started in the hole. Doesn't take much to squeeze them down, in some cases, can push them in by hand up to where the grips are at. Great video as always, cheers :)

Excellent Chris! I’m not savvy enough but where did you put parts numbers in discription and where can I get them nut included for my 1850/1950?
@ThatOliverGuyChris
@ThatOliverGuyChris 3 жыл бұрын
The flat plastic washer is 102566A and the cone shaped plastic piece is 102568A. The nut is a 105377A. I'm fairly certain the friction pieces are still available from Agco, but I'd bet the nut is discontinued. Maibach Tractor should have the friction pieces new and I'm sure they would have a used nut too.

What? You mean the Bungee strap was not the correct fix? Looking good. Tractor day is probably coming soon. It already happened here. The red tractors seemed to outnumber the green ones. Almost to the max the tractors were the big HP modern FWD ones. I saw one Model A JD in the photo and it looked like a toy tractor next to the others. Your Purple Oliver will proudly stand out against the boring colors.

@@ThatOliverGuyChris That girl will be graduated by the time you get it done. I think it would be a neat ride for her to drive on the last day of school or maybe to Prom. That would top any rented limos. I remember some kids driving tractors to school way back in my day. They usually had heat housers on them and 6" of snow on the country roads and sometimes they would have some passengers hanging on. Kids back then actually went to school with the idea of perfect attendance.

I think it's you tube. Ever since they changed the algorithm back in September, things have been all wonky with my channel. My brother had to unsubscribe and resubscribe in order to get notifications again. Every so often I'll lose a bunch of subscribers all at once. Supposedly the new algorithm is weeding out bots and fake accounts, but what it really looks like is a money grab on their part. It's frustrating to say the least.
