Is there a way to sacrifice the closet that way you can get a completely separate shower and toilet sink? I hate wet baths and on a trailer this size it's kind of ridiculous that your faucet is also your showerhead, those should be separate. and I can't fathom why nobody puts electric ranges in these trailers, they save space and are easy to clean.

I agree its not as pretty as an Airstream. Id love to have a 1970s one restored. But I am allergic to mold and RVs are mold magnets. I don't want any wood at all. So far the only wood I noticed was the drawers which is fine considering it's not cheap moisture absorbing wood and also it's easy to remove drawers if in 20 years there's an issue. I'd love to live with my antiques and books in my home but I have to enjoy then from a seperate building that I don't sleep in.

It would be great if you offered a floor plan where you can opt out of the microwave for a larger fridge. Anothr thing i would prefer would be the range topper opening towards the wall of the unit rather than to the side. Otherwise, the quality of the unit is outstanding overall. A yacht on wheels. Best part... no roof maintenance!!! That right there is, in my opinion the best selling point, especially for us aging teenagers! And the units will not self-destruct due to the traveling on bad roads, like conventional RV's would. These units should last five lifetimes!!! Can't wait to retire and be and be a proud owner. But I will have to sell my house first to be able to afford one! 😢

If we were in the market for a smaller format trailer, I think Oliver would be at the top of our list. It just seems to be a high quality build. But I have some questions/suggestions. I suspect that one thing people might not like too much is all that white, inside and out. I don't see any color options, which I'm not sure why because couldn't color tints be added to the fiberglass mixture and the shells be tinted to customer preference? I know it's not available, but perhaps a thought for the future. Imagine a sweet, 2 tone Oliver.... Nice sky blue on top and a nice light green on bottom... nice! LOL As for the inside, perhaps some tinting options. But what might be nice and a workaround, is, instead of having those white LEDs, to have a system with RGB LEDs (and white separately to select soft white or day white). There could be a sweet color display to control regions of light color inside the trailer. For example, different color for the "bedroom" area, another for the "livingroom" area, kitchen, etc. And even then, an option on the display to sub-divide the regions. Meaning, say the "bedroom" along one side, one color, the other side a different color, etc. Of course, for the adventurous at heart, a nice animated option that can be selected on the color display to have smooth changing random colors throughout. Either all at one, region and even sub-region. Having the RGB color LEDs adding some warmth to the surroundings instead of all that cold white. Just a thought and frankly, VERY EASY to implement. And it really wouldn't add that much extra cost as RGB with White LEDs are now so inexpensive. The color display controller doesn't have to be expensive either. In fact, the color LCD display could be a "fancier" option and for those who don't need/want a full color LCD display, the controller could just be buttons with LEDs specifying regions, sub-regions. The option of RGB LEDs could even be offered for the one or two awnings. Seriously, adding COLORFUL OPTIONS would entice those who find all that white too cold.

Certainly an interesting alternative to an Airstream. I may recommend it to my Grandpa, though it may be a bit small to his preferences. If these eventually grow to maybe 30-33 ft maybe larger, and compete directly head to head with the likes of Airstreams top-o-the-line, I'd definitely be quite interested. I definitely like the looks of the smooth seamless fiberglass inside and out. I imagine it would be easy to get painted, wrapped, or plastidiped in any color, or print design. I think my biggest gripe researching travel trailers is more often than not the lack of a washer & dryer or combo. These will certainly be on my watch list, and I'd certainly recommend them to others should that conversation pop up.

A truck to haul this is more $ than the trailer…especially in California (I hate this state) I didn’t catch the weights and clean water capacity for this…what size of truck would you need to haul this loaded? I watched twice and must have missed that info…😬
@chrisneuhaus7188 Жыл бұрын
Fresh water capacity is 30gal. Yes tow vehicle prices are a kick in the gut. You could opt for Elite 1 and get by with a much lighter tow vehicle, but it still has to be able to handle a 4000# trailer. Just think what it costs to own and tow and big fifth wheel camper with 4 slide outs. That requires a truck that will run you more $90K these days and you'll get 6-8 mpg while towing. The Oliver really is a value in the RV industry. They hold their value much better than most RVs and they truly will last for generations with proper care.

Is there a way to get a different battery door with lithium batteries? AGM batteries need to be ventilated, li-Ion do not, plus they are susceptible to cold, so an insulated, non-ventilated door/hatch just makes sense.
@shorttrails8158 Жыл бұрын
That's a good idea Erin. In fact, it would be great to have a head duct extended across from the furnace feed into the battery box for super cold weather. The larger Lithium bank has built in, UL Approved heaters so the batteries are safe, even with the vented doors.
@Erin-Thor Жыл бұрын
@@shorttrails8158 - I believe, if I recognized the batteries correctly (the ones installed, 2x 320 Ah), that they have internal heating and a controller that will communicate with an app. Don’t quote me or hold me to that, there’s a lot of red Li-Ion batteries out there. I was just thinking economy, with a vented door you’re going to have to heat it more, even if you cap/block the holes you still have an uninsulated door. You could put some thinsulate or whatever but an insulated door would be better. And yes, a heating duct, or alternatively a vent from the main area into the battery area would work great. 👍🏽
