This is live. No auto tune or back up track singing. It's just her and and backup singers with band. Awesome job if you ask me.

Are you kidding me? 65 years old and belting it out like she's 20 ... Nothing like her today that's for sure ...

In her 60’s and can hold those tones. What a pro . She is one hell of a class vocalist. No auto pitch or auto tune in sight. Legend for sure.

I gotta give her some serious props for being able to still belt out what's a difficult song to sing and she can still do it after all these years! You go, girl! I'd pay to see her perform!

I was at this concert (after waiting to see her live for 35 yrs) & this was always my favorite ONJ song. So pleased she has started to perform it again as it was missing from her set for a few years. The whole show was amazing - PURE CLASS!!!!!!

Newton-John has worked on her voice and it is much more preserved than so many other performers. In fact, her voice is more than it was and the belting is more squarely produced. There is a charm of the youth aspect and wispy naturism which characterizes so many debut performers. However, there is MUCH more to be savoured when the performer has explored the tonal spectrum and true support of their instrument. This performance was a shock for its strength. Good on her!
@MoMoMyPup108 жыл бұрын
I'm actually shocked as well at how strong her voice still is. She's been a health nut for most of her life and she could be a poster child for what it looks like when you take care of yourself.

Good on her. At that age still going for the stratospheric notes of her old recordings. And I love, love, love what the BGV were doing with the nuances back there. Good job, guys! I like a little something special on a live version of anything.

She still sounds great for her age but the tune is now out of her range a bit. She needs to take it down a step so the high notes aren't a struggle for her. It wouldn't hurt the tune at all. This was nearly two years ago so, hopefully, she's done that now.
@malinwj11679 жыл бұрын
Nostaljack Was thinking the same thing. She has to go falsetto now on the high notes, whereas she didn't previously. Probably could go down a half step and would fix it right up.
@johnjamesduffy76538 жыл бұрын
+Nostril Jacker just read your comment on Olivia Newton John singing "A Little More Love" & i have to say that i agree, i think from what i've seen on KZbin, she's changed it up a little for Vagas with an instrumental bit & the overall performance now seems better. In London, i'm glad to say that most of the songs that she did - she did great & "Sam" was just amazing especially at the climax of the song.
