John Travolta Tears Up Paying Tribute to Olivia Newton-John at 2023 Oscars

John Travolta gets emotional at the 95th Academy Awards. The actor made a special appearance to introduce the In Memoriam segment, which featured a performance from Lenny Kravitz. John's introduction paid special tribute to his 'Grease' co-star, Olivia Newton-John, who died last August after battling cancer. John couldn't hold back his tears as he said, 'They've touched our hearts, they made us smile and became dear friends who we will always remain hopelessly devoted to.' Olivia, of course, sang 'Hopelessly Devoted to You' in their 1978 musical film.

Not to mention he also lost his other friend Kirstie Alley in Look Who’s Talking. He lost his wife Kelly Preston in 2020 (all from cancer.) He even lost his son Jett back in 2009 from a seizure while they were on vacation. I also heard he lost his parents too. It’s been tough for John 😢. He even lost his friend Robin Williams from suicide and Bernie Mac from pneumonia, whom he co-started in Old Dogs (2009) All he has left are his daughter and other son

He too is in the industry & does many great things for special needs kids & young adults. I can tell & hear from what Joe has told me about their family that they come from such good stalk. This was in 1978 . My father died around the time this movie came out. I was 16. My mother needed company and comfort and she and I often went to my aunt Tonny and talk and watch television and just passing time.
