I think that I was 8 yrs. old when I discovered & fell in love with Olivia Newton-John. I was only fortunate enough to see her perform live twice. Her talents brought me through childhood & nearly into old age (okay;....she brought me through my late 50's) I absolutely adored her talents as her beautiful spirit. From the first album that I ever owned (Let Me Be There) through her incredible performance as Bisty Mae in "Sordid Lives". A bit in between, she was incredible in an independent film that struck a chord with me. As Lina Bingham, in "It's My Party", her compassion & talent shined. I'm sorry for the pain that she had to endure at the end of her life but I am absolutely grateful for everything she gave us. May she Rest in Power...eternally.

When I first heard this song I thought she was singing it in the style of Neil Diamond more than The Hollies. The amazing thing is that Neil Diamond had recorded the song before the Hollies but released it after them, so at the time of recording the two acts had not heard the other's version.
