Professional Face Breaker I think deserves a mention. While not as strong as Grim Hirling and not an outlaw, PFB does similar to what Grim does. Not to mention in a pinch you CAN turn treasures into card advantage. I'd also look at Xorn if you are focusing more on the treasure side of things over Manufacturer, as making an additional treasure whenever you would make one means you pretty much double any instance of one treasure into two. Orochi Soul-Reaver, while it is manifesting the opponents top of library's, it does also provide a treasure token whenever creatures hit as well, further adding to your treasure trove I would be remised not to say Dockside Extortionist, but I also understand it's price point. I would also say Smothering Tithe but for the same reason.

With grim hireling you could only create two treasures for combat since it says "whenever one or more". If it said "whenever A creature" then yes, you would create tow for each one.

Hey! You're the first channel that, as me, thought academy manufacturer doesn't make anything for this deck. I cut it out too! And then added it to my Korvold deck. Grim hireling is amazing and can't wait to play it now!

Imo, Vihaan is the better of the two commanders but I agree, you would need to change the precon significantly to have him as the commander. I have built a Vihaan deck and I’m excited to play it!

I built Vihaan as a treasure deck obviously but with a construct/aristocrats sub theme. Reanimate treasure creating creatures with dollhouse of horrors and having shared animosity.

I made my Olivia deck focused around Goading, since committing a crime needs to target opponents stuff

The auras smoke spirits aid create are controlled by you so enchanting your opponents creatures mean when they die your opponent takes the damage but you get the treasure. So enchanting your own creatures isn't really what you want to do unless you're going to board wipe and want the extra treasures anyway.

i like some of the cuts and adds. I like academy manufactor as a threat that people have to remove, and if they spend removal on a 3 mana creature it may let other stuff stick. The clues give great card advantage in a mardu deck that doesn't really have any. I would like to see black market connections as an add too because you have life gain in your command zone so you can full send every turn ( high price point but so is smothering tithe). I don't like the addition of Brass bounty in this deck since you really wanna play it if you have 7 or more lands so your not using treasures and to get value out of it but its clunky since you wanna use those treasures to buff the board and you don't wanna use those treasures as mana since your already sacking 2 of them for Olivia's ability. I do however like the 4 mana cantrips that draw 2 and give 2 treasures such as big score and unexpected windfall since they are at instant speed so you can show your going to commit a crime when not really. another cheap addition you could try is Tocasia's welcome since most of the outlaws in the deck are 3 mana or below.

I get some of the cuts and their respective swaps, but it feels like lipstick on a pig. I feel like just going hard on pirate tribal would be more beneficial. And it also sucks that this EDH deck has almost no cross-over with its Black/white vampire cousin from Ixalan. At least now I can move the Academy Manufactor to my Tivit deck.
