One of the things I like most of this show is that when they sing it's realistic when they do, they don't just break into song in the middle of nowhere which for me personally it takes me out of whatever I'm watching.

Season 2 just came out and finished a few weeks ago. They did weekly releases this season. I honestly love the show. The writing is by far much better then the HSM movies lol. I’m not ashamed to be 24 and a fan of this show.

I have never watched a single episode of the original or the new series until now, through you. LOL My high school WAS insanely funded and we had a theater that sat 1000 people. I was not involved in the arts program, but if you were a theater or music person it was a dream come true. It is in a suburb of Chicago. New Trier High School. So far watching this reminds me SO much of my high school. But I am an old bitch, so circa 1989 for me. It's interesting to hear Olivia's voice and demeanor on the show as an actress versus what I have seen as a musical artist outside of the show. She was younger here and you can hear it in her voice.

*SPOILER COMMENT* The first season makes me cry especially the first episode because he is afraid to say "I love you" which is because of his parents being separated and he obviously has a problem with commitment because of that and it's really sad to watch him struggle to commit to her in that first episode.
