Incredible vocalist! Not all of my favourite vowels or tone, but cannot be denied how amazing she is. There’s something “juvenile/young” about her voice compared to the fuller/more mature voice of the Alphaba of the show I got to see live, so that’s what caught me off guard at first. But the more I listen to her, the more I love her voice. Her rendition of Defying Gravity is outstanding!

I love the way she sings that first "heeelp me meet the wizard" because it sounds like she's really romancing that inflection, you know? Like, she's dreamt of meeting the Wizard for so long and now things are finally falling into place for her to do that. Idk, I can't sing for shiz, but I just really like how she delivered that. Whatevaaa. 😍 Cynthia and Ariana (THE ENTIRE TEAM THAT PUT THIS MOVIE TOGETHER) were incredible. The vocals on both these women is insane. I hope Wicked gets her that EGOT, because she was amazing, her voice had me mesmerized. This is my introduction to her, and now I need to consume everything about her! Ari completely disappeared and all I saw was G(a)linda, she was perfect for that role. I'm so blown away by this movie. I can't get enough of it. Man. What a fantastic production!

Maybe I'm tweaking but when she sings the first "you're going to be popular" it's like at popular her voice sounds like electronic almost and it breaks a little if that makes sense? It’s been so long since I last heard Ari sing in a character I kinda forgot what that was like 😂! You’ve gotta remember she is an actress so like… singing in character is something impressive even for actors cuz it’s very hard especially when the character voice differs so much from ones natural singing voice! So if anyone is approaching this as Ari singing then you’re approaching it wrong cuz she’s gonna be singing as a character which will change the way she approaches the singing!

you mention her 'annoying tone' and i believe that its almost a nod to the original Broadway singer Kristin Chenoweth because her voice is very nasily and raw in a good way.

Usually the bridge is less catchy than the chorus and the rest of the song but its like they made the rest of the song just catchy enough but left a bit of extra juice for the bridge. Btw you should listen to the live version they change the lyrics a bit
