I lived on Vancouver Island as an au-pair for a year, on a lake front property. I’m from the Netherlands myself so we don’t get beautiful nature like that. Seeing the kids wake boarding on the lake made me miss it so much. What a great life we live with memories that last a lifetime❤

My daughter told me recently I have an ingredient kitchen- which means not a lot of prepared foods, store baked cookies, treats, etc. I do have a great pantry; flour, sugar, oats, eggs. Tings that are used in baking or cooking. That is actually a compliment in my opinion, we’re never hungry, I can always make treats.

Another KZbinr I watch has each of their kids take a night each for dinner. It’s then their job to make dinner. From planning, budgeting, buying the ingredients, and cooking…etc. It gives the kids a chance to learn how to cook healthy meals and gives them a chance for one on one time with their parents. ☺️ You could try it if you are sick of coming up with ideas.

We have a 16 year old cavachon (not sure if lady is considered senior yet) but as she got older she had trouble getting the nutrients from her regular food but when we changed her to a senior dog food she started doing so much better!!

I've put cans in the fridge but only if I know I'm going to use it in the next few days. You can actually buy reusable silicone can lids to help with the freshness and not having to dump the contents into another container.

Hey Bonnie , I have found out both my dogs are allergic to beef chicken lamb and duck. I have them On a salmon diet with sweet potatoes. I also add in a scoop of pumpkin in there diet . Try that with lady . It may work ❤

Bonnie, I'm 57 years old and say the same thing about putting cans in the refrigerator that were half full......unopened cans are OK! My mother taught me that when I was younger! She was right too.....the stuff in the opened cans in the fridge tasted like tin!! Nasty!!🤮 I don't do it for cat or dog food either! Love the vlogs and your family!! 🥰🥰

I looked it up and it says yes you can store unused portions of canned food in the fridge for up to 4 days. The boys did great wake boarding. Olivia is so sweet ❤

Has Lady had an x-ray done? My Gracie acted the same way when they an x-ray revealed congestive heart failure, and later found that cancer had spread through her tiny little shih tzu body. 😔 We lost her last August 13 days before her 13th birthday. I pray that your little Lady is well and healthy. 🫂

I don’t have many prepared foods except canned beans like white beans black beans etc and canned chicken and tuna and freezer food ( meat, low carb tortillas) but no cereal or fast food type food. I can cook a simple meal but, still have to cook.

I’m not sure if Lady has had any imaging done(sorry if you already said she did and I missed it) but I had this same type of dog (not sure if that’s even important) and she had the same symptoms. Took her to the vet and she ended up having a tumor in her tummy and it ended up being cancer. She had to be put down! 😔

Joel’s feet tan lines are legendary 😂😂😂 they have supplements for yeast and belly bacteria for small dogs (I have a shi-poo myself, very similar to little Lady’s breed) she’s now 12! Still does the zoomies every morning and night and has her puppy-like personality still!! But DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and brushhhhh her teeth, that’s the only thing that’s becoming an issue and it happened freaking fast!! As a dog groomer as well, brushing your dogs teeth can have huge benefits.. the vet quoted me at close to 4,000$ in dental care. Crazy. Also… pet insurance (do your research for an affordable but good coverage one) can be very, very worth it.

Get her checked for Addison disease or raccoon disease ( even if no raccoons where she goes potty outside it’s possible my dog was acting the same way we lost her before we could get treatment and it was determined it was one of the things I said above ☝️ raccoons can go to the bathroom any where all it takes is one lick and bam good luck 🙂

I saw that Lady has a plastic bone toy. My dog also had the same exact one (came like 3 different shapes) he got really sick from a little piece of plastic (He ended up in a hospital. He is OK now). Maybe that makes her sick... a little piece of plastic hurting her stomach idk.

Please go to Chewy and get her Science Diet C/D. My sister’s Pug had crystals and that’s all he could eat to have a happy life. They deliver right to your house. “Urinary Care.” Little thing looks like she’s in pain. 😢 I just can’t get over how awesome your house is!!! You should have Lady’s sugar and thyroid levels checked. Also, my dog had chronic health issues until I started making his food at home. Boiled chicken or beef, boiled potatoes or very thoroughly washed rice, vegetables and fruits with powder and oil supplements. He went from basically spending his first three years on antibiotics for various issues, to never needing antibiotics again. He died of old age. I’ve always been told that once a can is opened you have to remove the leftover, because bacteria starts building.

My cat gets UTI’s. He spent 3 days at the vet with a catheter & was like a kitten again when he was better. I started up a little bit though so even though he’s on special food I found natural UTI tincture on Amazon & homeopathic as well. Good luck!

An ingredient household can also be called an 'almond mom'. Usually, not all the time. An 'almond mom' tends to push eating disorder behaviors onto their kids because they have or had an eating disorder in the past so they tend to buy only ingredients for their households. Also, an ingredient household can be that the parents do want their kids eating all the crappy stuff in store-bought packaged goods with certain ingredients etc which then ties back into the eating disorder-like behavior and an unhealthy relationship with foods. But trust me Bonnie your neither of those.

Hi Bonnie, I’m sorry your Lady isn’t feeling well. My entire family has dogs and my sister in studying pet nutrition right now. Recently a list of toxic dog foods was posted and many were brands you buy at Walmart, Target and even pet supply stores. The ingredients in these brands are putting toxins into dogs and some have reported dogs dying from toxic levels. You might want to google these brands and try Lady on a more human food type diet.
