I like this. It's not just added useless flash for the sake of it like so many; it's still nicely finished but it's pretty much all functional stuff that needs to be there. Engineering is great and so nice for once to see a wild spoiler that actually does something useful instead of just being a pointless 'look at me' piece, this is one of those rare cars that earns its spoiler because it does a job.

The upmost respect,what a machine.I have had a few minis in my life the last one had a 1750 maxi engine ,which was an absolute animal,it would snap driveshafts for fun,and would easily blow a cossie of round the twisty stuff,but yours is not in a different league.It is in another stratosphere.!!!!!!!!!!!

My God, had four of these, an ex rally car JHH 9N, John Willis owned it before I got it and eventually had an original mk3 Cooper S BAO 194J which was shit hot, had a 1310 bored out engine with twin 1.75" kandn air filters. Passing an escort near home one day and the lad floored it, I passed him at 95 then the Sierra in front of him went for it and I waved at him as I passed doing 115 and nowhere near red lining. Then I realised I was on 145 tyres and the servo was playing up. But it was worth it to see the guy in the Sierra's face as I flew past him.

That spoiler is essential for the Mini as they are deathtraps. Dont handle at all around corners or didnt. My mate had one which he cherished with his life, he said to me one day "watch this" and went around this bend at speed, mini just hit the kerb which was raised and bounced back into the middle of the road. Written off and i was almost written off too.
