Most people won't think much about it but in SEA, buying new shoes is pretty big deal for us because we don't earn much.. For common people, you're lucky if your shoes is worth $10 or more.. Most of us wear like $6 shoes..

@xcjsmith5310 "abang" means "big bro" and "kakak" is gender neutral older sibling, but in Malaysia it actually means "big sister." There are also loan word from ethnic languages that are quite commonly used to address big bro such as mas (Javanese) and a'a' (sundanese). For big sis, the most commonly used word in Indonesia is "mbak."

I mean i once wore my sister's shoes when i was in 4th grader, my sister was almost a high schooler at that point(year 9 on secondary, our senior high is starts at year 10-12) saying that that very shoes is worn by your sister for 5 year or so, aaaand i broke it in few month so understandably, my mum is furiously scold me for breaking that shoes. XD fun times

My older brother is trash compared to hers. He also doesn't care enough about how clothing looks to care about how my shoes look. He's always yelling too. That's why I'm happy he's going to leave for college soon
