Hey Colin that’s awesome! The Shore must have been so different 20 years ago, I’ve read many forums about how good the Snapper fishing from the rocks used to be. Japan is top of my list! Have wanted to go there all my life I’ll have to make it happen!

@@olliecraig-primalpursuit , check out Okinawa on the internet, I think you would love it . Near my house you can catch Mahi Mahi and other deep sea fish from the rocks . 2 spare rooms here bro if you need a place to stay 👍🏻

@@colinswainson9882 Thanks mate, Spearfishing is illegal though right? Would be cool just to go for a freedive however!
@colinswainson98822 жыл бұрын
Yes it is , the fishing co-opt control the seas and yell and scream to the law when anyone does something that makes their work harder , because they use the argument of less fish for them to catch to feed the population 🙄 . Lots of people still do spear fishing but are just cautious not to advertise their catch when they make their way in .

Hey Ollie! Shot my first fish last weekend. Can’t remember last time I was that stoked. A nice Pollock from Lofoten Norway. Baked it in the oven with some garlic butter and vegetables. Best meal I’ve had! I’ve learnt so much from your videos and I just wanted to thank you for the effort you put in and the tips and tricks you sometimes share. 😊

Hey Ole! Congratulations mate that's awesome!! I would love to go back to Norway! I was based in Kristiansund for some time on an explorer vessel. The guys speared lots of Pollock and Cod and I got some giant Scallops too! incredible country so beautiful will have to return. Any chance of Halibut up your ways? Might have to start planning a trip!
@ole.strand2 жыл бұрын
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit That's awesome! Yes, lot's of Halibut here in Lofoten. I think Daniel Mann made a video from one of his trips to Lofoten when he shot his first Halibut. I think you would love it here. I had some delicious Halibut at a restaurant here and it is by far one of the best fish I've ever tasted. As a beginner I'll not Spear a Halibut just yet but it's definitely a goal for the future.
