This is a lost race already for Olly. His pre-party-performances didn't go well. The Uk delegation even decided not to air them. Not his finest hour; so-so song and his Live-vocals were never that pleasant. This time he doesn't perform for his devoted fans only, but he's being scrutinized by the whole of Europe. In a last ditch attempt, he could probably try to save the song by playing it uncut at the piano, in a lower key, so that his voice doesn't drown in the production of the song and he can reach the final note.

Damn, this was another live performance with a technical issue. The woman came over after he showed the "horns" on his left leg very briefly. Im guessing his earpiece went. This happened again at the next show in London!

The song, in itself (engineered radio-version), is nice enough, though it seems to be lacking 'something'. The ending is not particular strong for an ESC-song + it gives some Christmas/Steps-vibes with all the bells. It made it to 42 in the charts. Then came the pre-parties that were plagued with some technical issues (ear-ins, mic's, sound). But also Olly, very obviously struggling with the high and final notes in this song. Madrid was 'passable', but thereafter he sang flat and Off-Key. For him to sing it Live properly, the song is in the wrong key (to high). Over the years his voice lowered some (only naturally) but no one told him. OK, I did in some comments and I'm getting lots of hate for it. Olly: very nice, talented songwriter/performer; needs a new & honest vocal-coach once this ordeal is over ...

For me it is the winning song, it is the only song that is dedicated to Israel and Palestine as you may not have realized, the bells in the song mean the role that the church plays in the war, flowers are what is most grown in the place of conflict, the kisses are the bombs, the dizziness is hunger, the video is very clear the devastation the destroyed house the eyes in the video are the look of the world 🤦 as you haven't realized, we have a winner 🏆
