If anyone watching this beautiful documentary likes the music check out Olly's music and download the album. Check out his band Turin Brakes too. The Optimist LP is where you should start. I saw the, play it live from start to finish a few years back and it stands up today. Great work Philip!

Truly inspiring... makes me want to go out and film again.....! Haven't done anything for a long time, I'm just a very passionate, "try to be", film maker but lost all of my inspiration, due to some problems I've had recently, but after seeing this and your other film docs, The Wood Carver and The Cigar Connoisseur, I really feel inspired to go out and continue learning and filming. Thank you sir, I really appreciate everything you do and your sharing your work and experience with us.

Thanks for uploading this in true widescreen instead of adding 'fake' black bars like many others..
@LuanSalama8 жыл бұрын
+weerdonerd how do you know it isn't fake?
@weerdonerd8 жыл бұрын
+Vir. gula Because it plays the video in full screen on my 3440x1440 monitor + you can check the real resolution which it was uploaded with by right clicking on the video > video statistics for nerds ;)
@LuanSalama8 жыл бұрын
+weerdonerd ow, got it!
@philipbloom8 жыл бұрын
+Vir. gula to be honest it is still fake. It's only real if shot anamorphic which it wasn't. Black bars in edit. I simply exported as 1920x816 which removes the bats.
@weerdonerd8 жыл бұрын
+Philip Bloom still looks better than blackbars on my monitor tho:)

My word what can I say Philip, this way beautiful! I watched it on full screen and felt sooo close to the story and the character. And I think it has a lot to do with the way you filmed it, up close that is for the most part, and it came out beautiful. Congrats!
