I doubt many will care with how much it's a slog to go through mainstory part 1.5, but just incase, I'm pushing the spoilers down so that KZbin's hiding of parts of a long comment hides it, as KZbin lacks spoiler tag censor bar functions.] Yeah, we don't actually see her real mom till somewhere in mainstory Part 1.5 in a flashback scene. And she died not from enemies, but from Misteln's power she could not control, to autokill anything and anyone who's nearby her, without attacking. She died because she requested Misteln to take away her immunity to her autokill power, because Bronya's mom, Alexandra, was pregnant with Bronya at the time, and although Alexandra was immune, Bronya wasn't. She was taking the brunt of Misteln's power in Alexandra's place. Alexandra was the only friend Misteln had, as everyone else died just because of being nearby her, which is rather tragic Misteln had to remove the immunity her only friend had to her unable to control killing her, so Bronya could live. I can only imagine the emotional pain Misteln had to make her only friend die because of her. Though, because of World Serpent being able to fulfill Misteln's impossible wish to die, I like to imagine she's in the afterlife with her only friend. Reunited by the very friend who requested to die by removing her immunity to Misteln's autokill power, to save her baby. I say it's Misteln's impossible wish to die, because: before meeting Alexandra, Misteln tried to kill herself multiple times, out of emotional pain of having no control over everyone who got near her auto-dying. But every time Misteln died, she'd revive even though she didn't want to. And fyi, the Misteln we see alive that Shigure Kira hated so much for looking like Cecilia, is not the same one. To my understanding, I believe that Misteln is a created replacement of the real Misteln, after World Serpent fulfilled her impossible wish to truly die. Because the real Misteln's only friend was Alexandra, Misteln as a playable character, her signature Stigmata set is Alexandra. You can really see connections with most characters with who is her signature Stigmata set designed after. Magical Girl Sirin's signature Stigmata set being her classmates from the magical girl school she went to for example.

I finished Second Eruption, and am partway in Alien Space, but have been constantly putting off finishing it. I hear Alien Space is somehow connected to Honkai Star Rail, but I haven't yet seen the connection myself, I've not finished it afterall.

The hype that she felt during Cyberangel was what i felt back then. I mean, before this chapter, it was bad news after bad news. And for once, there's something positive that happened in the story. And it's also a sign of hope that when Bronya reunites with her friends, she'd be a powerhouse for them against whatever that was "possessing" Kiana back then.
