If you look at the heads from a artist point of view the nose is flat so that it doesn't break when being rolled .also the forehead being larger to protect the facial features when being rolled. Now look at it and think of a different nose. Looks to me like a Roman helmet . On a Roman. Or not Sometimes the simplest concept is correct

I never take carvings as what people actually looked like..carving stone isnt like drawing someone. Not to say they arent of African decent because they could be but carvings dont tell you this is what they looked like.
