My heart nearly stopped when you said "I spent nearly 15-20", and i thought you were about to say minutes. Thankfully it was hours. Beautiful artwork!

Thanks! First sketch to blocking in some shapes in colours might have taken 20 min. But painting takes time.

its good to not do line art sometimes because you can stay more loose and change things as you go
@flux19404 ай бұрын
the trick simply is: 1. realistic lighting 2. well controlled shapes and markmakings (not too small but blocky enough to keep it stylized) 3. slightly saturated colours 4. Lineart

Do u have any books I could study on perspective? I’ve look at a lot of tutorials on here and nothing is clicking for me. Just like to make sure my paintings or sketches are not off and give them some depth. Lately I’ve just been free hand because I don’t get ( have never got) that horizon line 1,2,3 point perspective stuff . 🤷🏽♀️

I love your videos, Olaf - truly inspirational. As with so many people, I'd love to make my own feature film one day but budget prevents me from proceeding with it. However, making an animation instead IS doable and you've shown us the way. Thank you. One thing I noticed from this video is how much time is taken sampling/changing the colours of your brushes. An idea that might help people speed up the process a bit more is to create a palette swatch on and an extended area off the side of your canvas - they don't have to be individual colour swatches, they can be ribbons of colour/value that you can sample from using the colour picker tool.

I really enjoy your channel but observing how you travel to the color swatch on the far left side of the screen each and every time you choose a color REALLY triggers me. You can just use the color palette, set it to "Hue Cube" or "Color Wheel" and just have it open all the time. You can even place it close to your canvas so that you don't waste so much time and energy for just picking a color.

Olof, If I may sugest you can open the color window (F6) and chage it´s mode to HSB will help a lot for choosing your colors. and to text your values faster, you can set Color Prof Setup > Custom > Working Grey and use Ctrl+Y to alternate btwen color and b&w. :D
