hello Glen you are truly an aquaponics innovator. Your ideas are very different and functional. I noticed you always use black cinder and not red. Just curious if there was a reason why? thanks lary

+Larry Haggerty Aloha Larry, Red vs Black...amny years ago a fellow posted that he used RED cinder and all his fish died!!!. Then later we found out he used an unwashed chemical TOTE fish tank, and killed many fish! That done, the threw out the contaminated red cinder and bought black....as far as I know, no one has tried RED again! Odd, red is not readily available, black is common. I should try red, just to redeem it;s reputation! Glenn

What's the GPH out of the fish tank? 2:53 So that one common pipe, where you show the level, it acts like a U siphon for all the previous trays? Do you use an air diffuser of some sort in the airlift pipe? Do you find that it needs cleaning at times?
