The #OlsenTwins are the original Hollywood child star. They were forced onto set at 9 months old and continued to work everyday of their lives onward. These twins have been thrown into the limelight without any support and it shows... They now live a very excluded and isolated life. Its sad to see how society failed them, including Oprah!

So absurd... This is a perfect example of how someone can be so blind and uncaring about someone else's issues because they deviate from their own. Oprah has struggled with food and to control her weight for as long as I can remember. You think she'd be compassionate towards someone with the same core issues surrounding food control. And the underlying issues that contribute to it. But instead it's.. "I struggle to lose weight, and you're skinny... Soo... must be nice!" ack.. I can't stand that! So naive.

The trust is actually what currently happens. I wonder how that should change, because on its face it seems good but I feel like that's how Macauley Culkin got fucked over by his family was because of this trust stuff. It's weird because kids don't really know much about money but Idk what the solution is then. Should the state intervene on their behalf and some type of state appointed social worker should check in on child/teen stars who make a certain salary? Idk..

@FatalErr0r You are sick the fact that you think them saving up money for their kids means that they didn’t use them as cash cows. In one interview when they were young they wanted a break because they were booked for too many interviews (one sister felt sick and the other had an essay due). But it was played off for laughs and they went unheard, the fact that you downplay the pain they went through just because it’s not the same as other child actors shows how sick you are and you are part of the problem.

No one is arguing that Elizabeth doesn’t have pressure. The argument is that Elizabeth didn’t literally grow up in front of a screen like her sisters, so her relationship with the public and how she navigates her fame as an adult is strikingly different than her sisters. There is a difference between being a child actor, and being an adult actor, and there are different vulnerabilities that come with it.

True story about Bob Saget. I’ve met him. Early 2000s, we owned a store in the airport of Boston. Terminal B. And one day, in walks Bob. I greet him like normal, don’t say anything to him about being Bob Saget, even though I recognize him. He’s looking at this jacket we sold that had bear prints on it and being a sales person I walk over and say “yeah that our xyz jacket (I forget what it was called). It’s very comfortable do you want to try it on?” You know...doing my job. And he immediately stops touching it and glares at me and I kind of pull back like okay that’s a weird reaction and then he scoffs at me like I’m the dirt under his shoes and turns to leave. And I’m still confused but thinking okay maybe I actually did do something wrong so as he got to the door, I said like normal “thank you for coming in.” And he turns over his shoulder with the same look on his face and says “you’re not welcome.” And storms off. So yeah. Fuck him. At the time I tore myself apart trying to figure out what I did wrong (I was 15, so I was naive to the idea that adults can be so mean without a reason). Now as a full grown adult I didn’t do anything wrong he’s just an asshole. So make of that what you will, but how someone treats a shop employee says a lot about how they are.

I actually still own a white "mens dress shirt" from The Row (that was their major selling piece) All of their garments, shoes, bags, everything are very classic and effortlessly timeless (and esspensive) They definitely have an eye for fashion and it seems to be their passion in life. Their other line Elizabeth and James was a bit more colorful and playful, still very high fashion. I think it was closed a few years ago but then sold at Kohl's. (?) Oh and I totally forgot their two perfumes!! Nirava White and Nirvana Black were major! And now Im going to google if I can still buy them 😅. I remember loving those scents.

I didn't know both girls dated much older men. My intuition tells me they were both probably sexually abused as children. They show so many signs. It makes me so sad to know that there was a lack of support for not just women but GIRLS... CHILDREN. I really hope it didn't happened but sadly it wouldn't surprise me especially now that so many stories have come to light. I pray for them to be healed of past trauma and for them to be healthy spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically🙏

It will all come to the light!!!!! In another video their parents were commanded to leave productions because they felt they “disturbed the set by being around so the girls were distracted “…if the parents are away??? Who will protect them Without agenda. Unfortunately they are victims of abuse that’s a fact. Which variation 🤷🏾‍♀️ Or maybe all counts who knows?… I know they will open up one day. Until then prayers for them both 🙏🏾

Emotional incest is a covert form of sexual abuse. The children don’t have to be touched physically (sexually) for them to be affected by sexual trauma. Including drug & eating disorders. As symptoms of a larger trauma.

Such a sad story, thank you for telling it respectfully! I do have a comment on the treatment of EDs though. I was diagnosed with anorexia at 17, and the professionals did tell my parents to watch everything I ate and count my calories. To be honest, without them doing so, I just wouldn't have eaten. In later years I had a few hospitalisations, each of which involved my eating being watched and controlled. OF COURSE its not pleasant, but when someone is not in their right mind and won't do it themselves, it can be necessary. I would say it's got to be a first step though, my shorter hospitalisations didn't work and I was straight back to bad habits afterwords (as I imaging MK would have ben after just 30 days in treatment) but my longer stays transitioned from full control of my eating to more therapeutic work and teaching me to manage alone. It saved my life, but your body does have to be sufficiently nourished to build the cognitive strength for recovery.

Her ED and how well she hides it reminds me of those strict parents jokes how the kids always know how to hide they’re electronics, know the footsteps of each parent, etc and I just realized that this is what her parents ‘help’ did to her. You always want to rebel under that kind of pressure and strictness. And that’s exactly what she did

My baby photos look just like theirs, and we're a couple years apart. I've always kept tabs on them because of our physical similarity (maybe their missing triplet? haha) but seeing it all go down over the last three decades has been sad. Loved their movies and looked up to them a lot, and I wish them the best in all they do. Their avoidance of the internet is such a smart move.

The whole asking her about her virginity is so damn sad. It makes me think of also how Disney stars were big on the purity rings; Demi lovato, Jonas brothers, Miley Cyrus, aly & AJ, Selena Gomez, Justin beiber and how many others. It was in teen and adult magazines about these kids publicly stating they plan to wait till marriage for s3x. It’s no ones damn business and I know they made them all do that to maintain that kid Disney innocence as they grew as teenagers. Just wrong.

To be fair, parents often have no clue how to handle an ED especially because they go into panic mode because they’re essentially watching their child die. My dad has to watch me go through two hospitalizations and when it didn’t work he had to come to terms with the fact that I was probably going to die. It’s tough and while half the time we expect our parents to know what to do 100% of the time, we have to have empathy for them too because they truly just want to help us. My dad took stuff from me, he sent me to treatment centers, monitored my food intake. We’ve been through literally everything under the sun and it was a learning experience just as much for my dad than anyone else. My ED not only traumatized me but more so than anyone my dad. I can’t imagine what it’s like to watch your child slowly die in front of you.

i was going to comment the same! and actually many people that i knew from treatment had someone payed (it was like a nurse) to watch them and take care of them. they usually do this when you get out of an inpatient treatment and go back home to continue the treatment, in my case, my parents preffered that my mom would by my 24/7 nurse and she had to watch me eat everytime.

@@Valentine-jo7ls it could be but I’ve seen this done specifically with parents of adults because your parents only have so much time and so much ability to be with you 24/7. Most parents have jobs and even without a job; they can’t monitor you at all times when you’re an adult or teenager.
