HILARIOUS! You totally hit the nail on the head on this one. I am deaf and I was brought up in church. Now, I am a mom of two little boys and I am very conscious of what they're doing during the service (if they're not in children's program.) I give them the stink eye if I see them move or talk. :o) Love it! :o)

I always felt I had some insight in deaf culture until I saw your videos; thank you for the great education. Your videos are worth the frequent repeats just for the valuable education. Thank you. God help me learn every day and more importantly God bless you and your always.

There used to be a deaf couple at my church, and I'd always notice them just chatting with the interpreter during mass. I've only taken a semester's worth of ASL so far, so I don't know much, but I knew enough to realize they weren't actually singing Amazing Grace.

you guys are an amazing bridge between the hearies and the deafies. my gf's daughter is deaf and i taught myself a couple hundred words from Dr. V to get started. she and i watch your videos and laugh and connect. Your vids and her help have taken my robotic ASL to a more realistic conversational style. You two have done a lot of good and i just wanted to let you know about the good you did here. Thanks Guys.

I'm a hearing person who learned sign from a deaf friend in my neighborhood as a child, so I enjoy watching these guys with the sound muted!! God really gave deaf people a good joyful spirit!!!

Hey, my dad is a pastor and I am trying to do my best to be interpreter for the deaf that come to our church. If you have more stories, I would love to hear them! Seriously, the deaf people at my church are wonderful friends, but sometimes I feel like they just tell me I am doing fine when there are things I can improve. Thanks for your videos!

I'm hearing and know sign. I've been signing for several years and have developed a fluency. I interact quite a bit with the Deaf and have been known to fool other hearing signers mostly because I'm Deaf taught first then took classes later. Some of my favorite experiences are when I'm in a Deaf group and I hear someone say something derogatory or inappropriate. I'm usually that guy that will first interpret what was said then will voice to them that they're an idiot. Go Vikes

I guess this is an odd place to write this but hopefully someone can give me encouragement. I am slowly but surely going deaf. If you ask me I can hear just fine as long assomeone speaks directly too me, and its dead quite in the room. However, other timesI WISH I were fully deaf because trying to cope with all the noise is draining.I am fluent in ASL and SEE. But what is a happy middle between the hearing and Deaf?I now even have to put earplugs in to go to work because the noise gets to beames
