almost ten years later and these scenes still give me chills every time i watch them. todd and blair's relationship was such and abusive trainwreck but like one you could never look away from. there's so many little details of roger's performance here that i love, but my favorite is when blair says, "i don't know" and he has to stop himself from crying before he takes out the wedding photo. "you were stalking me?" "...yeah, i guess, a little bit" that's how you know it's really todd lol

RH makes this wacky scene seem real with his acting!! Great dramatic scene. Love all of the reactions. Todd reuniting with Starr and Blair was especially awesome and that lovely kiss (They are a twisted, crazy couple but never can quit each other for good.).

Love how Starr physically recoils when TSJ/Frodd approaches her. She already knows. She knew immediately. A wonderful touch too when Jack looks at TSJ/Frodd and says, "dad?". And Starr looks at RH/Todd and says, "dad?". Powerful!

As an OLTL fan, I waited years for this showdown between RH and TSJ. I’m just so delighted this story happened before the show got pulled off the air. RH made it back just under the wire. My favorite part about these scenes here is that Starr and Blair know RH is Todd right from the beginning. They’re the only ones in the room who know without a doubt. They say it without saying it. Perfection.

This was so epic. I just realized starr said to todd what blair said to Todd when he first came back to town in 96 like blair did she said " are you real " also so happy the real todd came back. Roger always thought that tnb were endgame. Even when they put him with tea any scene with blair fans called it rebel acting. Roger would always convey a look or the way he talked to Blair that he still carried a torch for her. Trevor as todd did the opposite. He said in the press that tnb were boring that " blair would have sex with another guy, todd would go ballistic than they got back together. " he said it was wash rinse repeat. He would tank any scene with blair. Even if his lines were supposed to show he loved blair trevor would say things in a flippant matter. He also always pushed for any new leading lady with him in the todd role. He heavily championed todd & evangeline. Then todd & marty then todd & tea. So with roho back in the role his feelings for blair were clear. I remember their was speculation that trevor wanted the todd role to be his. So he saw tnb as Todd's endgame so he did not want that bc that bc it was reminders of RH. Same with treating Starr horribly. Esp when he wanted to kidnap hope when she was born & raise her with Marty which was crazy. The real todd manning never would have taken starrs baby causing her pain or having a romance with Marty. So with roho back it made sense of all victor Jr 's actions that made no sense. He never had the kind of bond with viki or Jessica that Roho's todd had with them. So I really enjoyed when Jessica told viki she always wondered why she did not have the same connection with the faux todd. Viki asked how she meant that & she said " remember when todd knew i had natalie prisoner when I was tess & allowed it bc victor jr. Was being blackmailed. It wasnt like todd not to go to you to get me help" when jesse & todd talked he said " Jessica I would have taken better care of you "

That wasn't he case. OLTL was cancelled and they needed to begin to do the work of ending the show. They were all going to lose their jobs regardless. They were planning on moving other characters to GH and some to Prospect park, but after a year, neither of those options lasted.

I think TSJ's Todd was endlessly manipulative and gaslighting to the people around him. RH's Todd was more open, and artless, in trying to get what he wanted. TSJ's Todd would be fine with dragging everyone around him down into his pit, as long as he got what he wanted; RH's Todd had a conscience, even if it was addled some of the time (or much of the time). They were two flavors of selfishness, one more calculating and cold than the other.

I don't have any particular preference between them. But in these sets of scenes, Todd's return, TSJ does a great, great job of giving life to his version of Todd. There's one small moment after another where he tries to warp reality to his needs, and demands that everyone go along with him; and every rupture in that process wounds him, causing him to lash out. This story, RH's return, is largely *about* everyone coming to reckoning with TSJ's character, including himself. The story doesn't go deep enough, of course.

sk5835 You want to talk damning evidence If you compare the flashback of Todd shooting Victor to the original shooting scene, Todd’s hands are bigger (using the gun as a measuring device), much darker in color, and more masculine then the original shooters hands (you can see the thick hair below Todd’s knuckles but the original shooter’s hands have hair that is much to fine to be seen on camera indicating female). Everyone knows Todd can remove his hands and put on female hands. The original shooter shot Victor from the shadows by the stairs just OUTSIDE the living room, while Todd shot Victor in the middle of the brightly lit living room. Todd’s next magical power, he can be in two places at the same time. The phone recording Victor’s shooting (which was still recording after Victor was shot) was about 4 feet away from Todd in his flashback and yet it did not capture Todd yelling right after he shot Victor. Todd is so sinister his voice cannot be captured on recordings even when he is yelling 4 feet away. In Todd’s flashback, he threw the gun to the left of the house in those bushes, the gun was actually recovered in the bushes across from the house. Todd even used a magic gun that can move about 5 feet all by itself. Todd never remembered shooting Victor until 2 months after it happened and after Todd was a captive audience in jail with his mother known for brainwashing and did who knows what to Todd for 8 years. That is the perfect set up for a no doubts situation. The gun was only tested for Todd’s finger prints after Louie disappeared with it for 2 months claiming he escaped the Irene’s men. Because a homeless man escaping trained CIA men for 2 months is very probable, fingerprints cannot be planted on a gun in only 2 months, and it’s not suspicious at all that Louie only showed up with the gun when Todd was back in power. Even though OLTL (TV & Online) tried to push Todd as the shooter, I can’t imagine why some people found it a tough pill to swallow.

They were born with the same face but the Trevor St. John "Todd" was told the real Todd's life story while Roger Howarth's "Todd" was medicated. He ended up believing that he was Todd Manning. Their mother, Irene Manning, gave the fake Todd a different face so that Mitch Lawrence would believe the fake was his brother, Walker Lawrence.

What do you mean by the con man part? You mean you think the storyline should have had Victor as someone who intentionally stole Todd's life? I don't see that doing that would have made more sense, considering the extent to which Todd's life was stolen and that he was still alive instead of having been killed. Then again, I wasn't expecting a brain wash storyline back when Howarth left in 1998 and I thought about him returning someday by the writers calling the current Todd an imposter (who learned about Todd via what Todd told him).

I think he checked out at this point... we knew OLTL was ending and he couldn't have been happy RH was resigned to reclaim the role of Todd... he should have taken the role of Victor Jr and run with it... TSJ was always too 'chilly' as Todd and was pretty abusive to his kids... RH's Todd had a quirky humor and could turn a phrase in a way that you knew he was damaged guy who just wanted to be loved. TSJ was is a good actor and would have made a good Victor Jr. Shame he didn't see the opportunity to run as Victor Jr. Locking horns with Todd until the OLTL finale on ABC.

These scenes were so epic I'm sad that the horrible acting of the kid playing jack was so horrible. They should have kept the boy who played Jack before he could act and was a little kid . Or couldnt oltl find a better actor for a legacy character like jack ? Plenty of talented kids I'm sure in nyc at theatre schools. How did they not fire this kid ? I also didnt get why jack was such a shit to todd he knew he was given away at birth ( who would tell him that ,??) But he didnt care when he thought victor was todd. I just thought he should have been left out and we just had the og manning's starr blair tea todd then of course victor jr and viki and Tina jack could have been in jail rather than this kid and todd could have reacted to his son being in jail. Honestly, watching clips from both actors, I've grown to appreciate Trevor St. John's part a little more... I especially liked him when he first came on back in '03 (partially due to Michael Malone being the headwriter again). But Howarth was the one who made Todd the household name that he became, albeit reluctantly. If it was any other actor, Todd would've simply stayed "Gang rapist/frat boy #1."

@@marcelparker6755 FYI: when TSJ first came on, he was playing Walker. Port Charles was cancelled and Michael Easton was offered the chance to play Todd on One Life. He declined so they created McBain and made Walker into Todd
