Olvera Street is known as "the birthplace of Los Angeles" and is a part of the El Pueblo De Los Angeles National Monument. There is a bunch of cool stuff to see here including a Mexican marketplace, shops, restaurants, museums, and traditional events. In fact, Olvera Street is home to the oldest standing residence in Los Angeles, you can even go inside and tour it!
If you're interested in California history, this is a great place to visit. Come with me on a short tour of Olvera Street to see some of what this popular attraction in Downtown Los Angeles has to offer.
I've decided to make a series about all things Los Angeles. Why? Because I LOVE Los Angeles and although I wasn't born and raised here I want to share all of the amazing things this city has to offer. I'm going to start out with the more obvious spots that most people have heard of and move on from there. With that being said, welcome to Episode Two!
