Los Angeles is home to some interesting and unique hikes. The Murphy Ranch hike is definitely one of them.
In this video we hike to Murphy Ranch in the Pacific Palisades and explore what remains of this strange piece of history. The story goes that Murphy Ranch was built in the 1930's by Nazi sympathizers. They wanted to build a self sustaining compound to hide out in until the USA fell to Germany. When that didn't happen, the compound was raided by police. If you like weird history, abandoned buildings, or graffiti then this one is for you!
I've decided to make a series about all things Los Angeles. Why? Because I LOVE Los Angeles and although I wasn't born and raised here I want to share all of the amazing things this city has to offer. With that being said, welcome to Episode Four!
