We have a Car showroom , yesterday we got a call from a guy (fraud) who says his name is Vikas Patel and he is from Indian Army . I swear by the name of army..i was so full confirm that ya he can't do wrong or Fraud.. phr maine pu6a ki ok... To thk h aap delivery kr do m COD kr dunga.. bt unhone kha ki nh hmare army campus ka rule hota h ki aapko 10k Rs jma knne h n dn hi ho skta h.. i mean 50% rupees jma knna hota h.... At that point i doubted... But he send me everything mean voter id card,adhar card even army canteen id.... That's why i believed fully.... I paid 10k... N dn i was looted... I registered complain in police station.. but everything came out was fake... Tb mjhe smjh aaya ki sala yr ki hr ku6 fake bn skta h.. i tried the no many times ,but in admiyon k lye to no change knna like childs play... I'm a student, maine yh 20k rs abt 1yr m jma kya tha.. js m i lost 10k without any use..😭😭

1 and a half year back I needed the ps4pro so bad ( i already had ps4 slim ) and then i searched on olx i found one with 7 games for 19000 and 1000 for ps plus subscription.. and he said he was from ahmedabad and he said to bank transfer he provided his aadhar card too then he said he sent me and sent the courier slip and I got happy then I gave him 12000 in his bank ( earlier I gave 1000 ) then the product came I gave the courier 7000 and took the box then when I opened the box I found a broken iball laptop in a ps4 pro box and my parents 🤬 never trusted me again for any purchase online .. Then we thought of registering complaint but aadhar card was fake and the bank account was closed . That worsened the situation

This is such a common sense thing to do, to meet someone in person to transact, yet people mistake OLX for Amazon and get scammed. In addition to what Guruji said, this is how I try and keep myself secure: 1. Keep a separate bank account in a separate bank for online transactions, and transfer money to that account from your main account as needed. Don't attach any card or any online payment system to your main account. 2. Never use e-wallets for OLX type transactions. You have very little control over your money, and wallets' terms and conditions absolve them of any responsibility, so they will be of little help in case something happens. I insist on cash only for OLX in-person transactions.

Mujhe aaj ek call aaya tha, maine inline skates ki ad daali thi OLX par usne bola mai indian army se hu aur Pulwama mai bharti hua hu. Mera dost aayega collect karne saman aur paise mai tumhe yaha se tranfer karunga. Ye sunkar mai samaj gaya ki gadbad hai, maine Google search kiya aur ye video par aa gaya. Video dekkhar maine usse abhi likh diya ki deal cancel aur usko call par bhi bol diya ki deal cancel. Maine lekin ye sab jaanne se pahile apna address de diya tha bas wahi nahi dena tha mujhe.
