Few locals go into the mountains here. Fewer still get out of their car and walk a trail. It’s extremely rare for someone to go off trail just to mess around in the timber… even most mountain summit routes have a trail, and it’s dangerous to go off trail risking injury or disorientation. Think of the millions of acres of West Coast forest that only sees one or two people annually.

You guys and gals deserve all my respect. I appreciate all the hard work trekking in the bush trying to capture evidence of this creature. Skeptics are so easy to make assumptions and opinions on this subject when they've never even been in the woods. Never open their eyes and mind. There is obviously some sort of animal that is very big and is leaving behind tracks. I find so amazing that an animal that big is so stealthy. Keep up all the hard work and dedication you all have put in. You all have my respect. Y'all be safe now.

I live on the OlyPen. South: Millions of acres no man has walked since it was surveyed. West: Nothing but the Pacific. North: Straight of Juan deFuca. Then uninterrupted wilderness all through Canada and Alaska. Who knows what could inhabit all that temperate Rain Forest. All the Tribes have Sasquatch legends. Every Totem pole seems to have an Orca and a Sasquatch. Lots of bears, deer, elk, eagles. The Salish Sea is home to Orcas, Whales, and thousands of Pinnipeds. Why not a shy North American bi-pedal ape? Between edible plants and easy to gather shellfish and numerous salmon runs there is steady food sources for omnivores.

In the early 80’s I saw Sasquatch in the Olympic mountains near the Quilcene bay, I was laying in the sun reading when I felt like someone was watching me, across a creek in a thicket of black berries the thing was staring at me. It had yellow amber eyes and very broad shoulders. I looked directly at it then looked back at my book, trying to be nonchalant about it, it backed away when I looked up again and was gone. Despite many hikes over the years and family living out in the woods, I have never seen it again. People tried to tell me it must have been a man... or a bear, no, it was not. I know what a man and a bear look like.

Anthropologists like myself do take it seriously but even Jane had death defying events with chimps. You are entirely correct it needs to be a daily thing! As a female Anthropologist I am not sure I would feel comfortable going out by myself searching for Bigfoot. I never had a love working with chimps. Goodall was my heroine but they are dangerous as is Bigfoot I believe. I have gone on excursions but not by myself!!
@discojelly
@discojelly 3 жыл бұрын
Having had a number of direct and indirect bigfoot encounters here in North Texas and in Southeast Oklahoma, I can tell you that that is a wise decision. These things are smarter than chimps.. and bigger. I'm going to fair to say they are indeed in the "Relic Hominid" catagory. I always tell folks who are interested in being Bigfoot researchers to never go alone. You're chances are higher if you have just yourself or a very small group.. but you also put yourself in more danger. Safety in numbers is key. Its good that more Anthropologists like you are getting interested in this subject. There are still Hominids on this earth besides us, and we researchers hope to have some viable evidence of that for those of you in the scientific community.

@@discojelly I grew up and currently live outside of Gainesville Florida. There was a period of about 3 years I lived in Lawton Oklahoma which is connect to ft sill and the Wichita mountains. It's about 40 miles from Wichita falls Texas. I lived right on the edge of town. Being a Florida boy I sought out water for places to fish. Fortunately I found a creek about two miles from my apartment. Turned out to be east cache creek. I never seen anything but there was several occasions I had 0 doubt I wasn't alone and something was watching me while I would bank fish at night. Growing up in Florida we have everything under the sun as a threat from gators to cougars and moccasins. And i never felt the way I did out there. I have no doubt Oklahoma and Texas has some type of sasquatch.

Yes. Safety first. I am in England, and although ours is a much smaller country, apparently, there have been some Bigfoot sightings. Some have been in an area called Cannock Chase, in the West Midlands (I am from the East Midlands), so I want to go & explore. It's a bit of a drive, so I'd probably want to stay a few days, but I am wary of going by myself. Not just because of Bigfoot, but I might get myself lost in the wilderness! So I agree with your point. Need to get someone to go with me.

Just something to think about, I've noticed in a lot of your videos you put the db level of the music a lot higher than your camera footage/VO's. It makes it where if you're wearing headphones you keep having to drop and raise the volume as a viewer. Overall I love the work you do, the audio thing's just become a little pet peeve of mine

^Came here to say this. Full volume voices crashing and braying through the woods with twenty people is not how to see anything. We didn't see any video of any wildlife whatsoever. Something the size of an adult bull Elk can move through dense woods like that in near silence .

I live in Bellingham but haven't had any experience yet here. But in Belfair Wa I did. And you are right. I have a hard time camping in the woods unless I'm in a good spot. I was freaking out last time I camped and didn't sleep at all. And I'm 6 foot 1 200 lbs not a small man and not afraid of anything except Bigfoot's lol. I find myself driving in the mountains at night searching and I can't say why. Like what would I do if I seen another one lol.

My dad picked up a stray dog.. He always wolfed down his food. Even though his last days with my dad. I think that it is because when they do get food they don't know how much time they will have to eat before they get interrupted by something. And then they get scared and decide to run away! I think that it is possible to change the behavior, but it takes dedication and a little extra time to change the problem. You have to hand feed the dog a little bit at a time. Grab another hand full after a little bit of a pause. Then keep repeating until your dog, or puppy, has eaten his share. When doing well switch to using their dog bowl and only put in a handful at a time. As he slows down his eating habits. You can add more each time you add food to the bowl.

Over 10 years of gold mining I have had 7 encounters. It's so creepy how they watch you. They never were aggressive to me though. Well maybe onetime they pushed down a pine tree on the hillside. Almost as if they wanted me to see or know they were there. My lastest sighting I had two others camping with me and they shook a bush on the hillside.

In my humble/inexperienced opinion, I think a key factor of expeditions like these would be to be more inclusive of local Native culture and beliefs about the Sabé. Not that these guys are “too scientific,” I just think there are lots of aspects concerning the Sabé that are not being considered when we as humans think about what we think is scientifically possible. The intelligence levels and capabilities of the creatures in question is far beyond what any of us give credit for. And this is all besides the fact that these expeditions approach the topic from the angle that what they’re looking for isn’t human, which is a whole separate conversation. Thank you Jeff Meldrum

Les Stroud disclosed that he had seen orbs in the Portland, OR episode in his finding Bigfoot series. He didn’t say on the show itself, likely due to gatekeeping restrictions, but he is one of the most credible people I’ve watched. He also disclosed that he experienced telepathic communication. Very interesting stuff
