That was for a kilo of oranges, but I guess there was a difficulty in communicating 😅

The orange seller was saying "Huit" which means eight in French, and he meant eight dirhams for a kilo of oranges but you gave him a dollar which he was confused about and probably thought you were offering him a tip or something so he took it, but when he handed you the plastic bag was for you to weigh a kilo of oranges yourself and then he was going to give you 2 dirhams back for change out of the ten that you gave him, but it's fine since those big oranges weigh almost half a kilo each so you didn't get that much ripped off 😁, but ask more next time before purchasing anything and also try to mince in some French words while in Morocco, good luck.
