Canada has a lot of sand beaches in the Great lakes region. Anyone can see lot of People playing volley over there. Finland has large sand beaches in the Baltic See shores. There's a beach resort called PORI YYTERI where thousand of people play soccer and volley. Holland is such a tiny country whose larger part consist on sea shore sand beaches where tons of people play volley. Norway - for example - has only fjords with no sand beaches. Is Norway a great volley team ???

Think about that: Volleyball is popular ONLY in "Beach-Resort Countries" (Brazil, Cuba, USA, Italy, ecc.) and in former Comunist Countries. In "Beach-Resort Countries", because people play Volleyball in the beaches (italian beaches, Copa-Cabana in Brazil, Californian Beaches, etc). In Former Comunist Countries, because in those regimes sports where very important (and volleyball was tought to the girls). Now Comunism is over but the "volley tradition" still remains...

In Italy are many shore beaches. In those beaches that are large and sandy, volley is well developed (the whole region of Bologna and Rimini, Marche, etc.). In those beaches that are narrow and rocky, volley is not developed (for example, the region of Genoa). I say it again: VOLLEY IS A BEACH SPORT.
