I highly recommend you a miniseries made by Akruas about Norway - it doesn't look like a game, it looks like reality. When I showed my mom that video, she didn't believe it's just a game, she thought it's some sort of graphic program.

I would really see a big monumental art structure on the empty patch of grass in the the park between the two stadiums, like an obelisk or something vertical, lit up with yellow color at night for a contrast with the blue stadium.

The "viking-stadium" is called "vikingskipet" in norwegian and means vikingship. It was used during the olympic games in 1994 as a ice skating rink for long-distance skating. Today the building hosts the world second biggest LAN gathering called "The gathering". It also hosts all kinds of smaller conventions as well

Absolutely amazing. You're an artist with this game and I can't wait to see what you can do in C:S 2 when it's fully released. But please don't leave us hanging on Asturis.

This area really came together well! I had run across those crystals in the workshop too, I love what you did with them, but yeah, too bad they don’t glow with the lights. Great build!

I love the SC2000 "Plymouth Arcology" building! If you even revisit the center it could be cool to have a road/train/monorail going through it, but just the building itself is pretty amazing already! On the other hand... while I love the new stadium and the general region around it, I didn't quite enjoy the crystals. They're too uniform to feel like a disruptive art installation, their theme doesn't fit with the "Tropical Neomodernism with Cyberpunk/Utopian elements" vibe of the city and the bright white lights in a chaotic pattern don't look that great at night IMHO. If you really want to use the crystals, having them as centerpieces (with unique colors and pathfinder/flora designs built around them) could look better, perhaps as a tropical twist of a Zen Garden (with the crystal replacing rocks and paths/vegetation instead of the lines on sand). It would fit perfectly with the lotus-shaped stadium!

This section is so cool to look at. I love the style of the super-high density sections, and the park looks amazing too particularly how incorporated the roads, paths and rails feel with it. The new stadium is also a great addition, though its shape means the inside must have some weird field arrangements. I feel like one big crystal, statue or similar structure could go in the largest patch of grass in the crystal park, as it seems a little empty.

Those lit up crystals... that park could be dubbed "the Taurid Memorial Park", named after the Taurid meteor stream. - lore opportunity, maybe much like the ancient past, earth past through the taurids and was hit with some of the celestial bodies in the area, causing much devestation, Asturis is one of the first cities to be rebuilt by humans that created a noah's ark of sorts and went to space before impact, hence the space elevator being the offshore focus of the city. Beaming workers and materials down at first and then the payload of fauna and civilians.

Take your time really. everyone, including me, is excited with c:s2 around the cornor but itll take a while for it to be fleshed out with mods. you wont be able to do a project like this from the get go. i hope you wont rush too much just to get this project "done" as i really like this future/modern-style cities. :)

this feels like the city was chosen to host the olympics in the past and this is the remnants of what was left a couple dozen years later. I imagine the big stadium has football or something in it and the smaller flower stadium has other sports like an olympic pool.

I would love to see some different areas, like old parts of the city where there's cheaper living, underground and dirty areas.. like some history of the city... sometimes I feel Asturis looks all built up in 1 day.. even tho Akruas is my favorite of all times in cities:skylines..

As someone who has just picked up this game 😂 I know I'm late, I have a kid so my time was elsewhere. Anyways while I'm learning PO slowly and thanks to yourself and others, I'm actually picking it up pretty well, one thing I've been unable to achieve or even come close to is the realism aspect of the lut, while I have downloaded some lovely looking ones, I've either missed a step or my brain completely ignores how to achieve it. I understand the finished products are done at the cost of FPS and are for the most part unplayable when in that mode but even watching you and others build your masterpieces the level of graphics are so much better than mine, I still have hazes or the colours are completely off. Do you have any tips and breakdowns for a newcomer on what steps to take to get as close to this as possible. My ram is 32gb. Anytips are much appreciated and keep inspiring others my friend. Great job

Take a look at mod "Lumina", read its description and download LUT bundles made for it. I also had no luck with random LUTs made outside of graphics mods. Lumina also has complete preset styles that you can download, they're linked in its description. I'm using various map themes mixed using Theme Mixer 2.5 and in this particular series I use 3rd party visual software Reshade to enhance colors a little. Actually, all of these do not have almost any effect on FPS.

It could look nice to have a few “historical” buildings peeking through making it look like the city has more history [Edit] It might contrast badly idk
@amberw3829
@amberw3829 Жыл бұрын
I might be misremembering but I'm pretty sure Asturis is meant to be a planned city, i.e. a city built from nothing on undeveloped land (Brazilia is probably the highest-profile example of this). In other words it wouldn't have any historical buildings.

I always got the feeling that it was a colony city on another planet, possibly the first settlement there, grown to a full city (And now that I am playing Starfield I am getting some New Atlantis vibes from it). I would imagine that the “old” buildings would look like prefab space habitats and as the infrastructure improved it began to look more and more like a regular city.

Am I the only one totally lost about his point when he brought up Calgary and London? I might have needed less whisky tonight to understand it, but I actually went back to listen to it again and I still don't get it. And I cannot be the only one absolutely hating the mesh on every crossroad. Right? It looks horrible, right? RIGHT?! I could add how I really enjoy this series, compared to Altengrad where the technical stuff about the sovjets luls me to sleep every time I try to watch it... Nah, just complaints today. That's enough. For now............................... Okay my bad, one more thing. That gap in the crystal park needs a pond.
