I've watched many reactions videos about Haikyuu (in fact, watching a few series of people going on right now) and I gotta say, your unique style of speeding the video up and only showing your reaction is very refreshing and super entertaining! I enjoyed this a lot! Please do keep going in! I know it takes a lot of work to do these videos, but this was honestly an amazing watch. This show keeps getting better and better the longer it goes (in fact my favorite episodes have to be the latest one releases on season 4) so I can only hope that you will eventually get there. We all definitely will enjoy this journey with you! Keep it up and I'll see you on the next video

I really enjoyed your reaction!! loved the combo of analysis & emotional commentary. just a side note, your pronunciation of Kageyama was really close, but it should be a hard G (like in dig, good, etc) rather than a soft G (large, general). super excited for your next vid :) I hope you enjoy the anime as much as the rest of us did lol.

You're in for such a treat! The best part is that there's such a good mix of getting all the little volleyball details right but not over-focusing on that and still having really, really good story and character development, and even that for every character as well, not just the main two or three. It's a show that genuinely just keeps getting better and better as you get further into it. Honestly by the time you get even halfway through season 1 you'll already be hooked, if not long before then. Enjoy the ride!

I read that in Japan in the early 2010's there was a real decline in high school students joining volleyball clubs, having fewer and fewer every year. Then the comic this show is based on (created by someone who loves the sport and used to play) started coming out monthly and the numbers started going back up. After this animated adaptation came out the number of kids getting into volleyball really skyrocketed! The show has widespread appeal and has made fans of the actual sport out of people who never watched it before, and though I'll never play very seriously I'm getting into playing casually with my friends for fun :) The series is just made with a really contagious passion for the sport that hooks you in, I hope you'll enjoy it, it gets very exciting and it's a joy watching the characters grow to become better players and teammates! Really appreciate volleyball players giving insight on the show.

It's the same with Slam Dunk. Basketball was not at all popular in Japan but when Slam Dunk came out in the 90's, there has been a lot more bball clubs in schools. Slam Dunk was the benchmark and what was being emulated by a lot of sports mangas/animes that followed including Haikyuu.

It was a really nice reaction! I'm sure everyone who was inspired to play volleyball after watching this show (including me!) will really look forward to you watching this series and listening to your input! It wouldn't be a lie to say that this anime revieved the sport in Japan and has probably inspired a generation of young kids to pick it up. The author of the series was a middle blocker in high school so a lot of the dynamic movements are grounded in reality which adds to the allure of the show. Not to mention, the beautiful animation and a stunning soundtrack! With regards to the editing, cutting back on the continuous fastforwarding would be preferrable but it didn't really bother me. Honestly speaking, everyone here has seen the show a million times over. Being able to hear from somone who has played at the highest level is what ads to the excitment so don't worry about "talking too much" if you find a lot of things you'd like to talk about. Iuri Pablo Here we go 🙄. The stuff he mentioned (realistic movements) still apply in season 4. Season 4 still looks good. The movements are still accurate to actual volleyball so please don’t come to this comment section with that BS

I played volleyball during high school. Not longer after I started playing in local teams, l found out about Haikyuu throughout a friend of mine and we started watching the first season together. When I was introduced to Haikyuu, l was already a fan of other types of anime, but I didn't have much high expectations in sports anime since I thought l would be too critical about the accuracy of the animation since l already had some kind of idea of how the movements should look in real life, but after all I began liking sports anime because I was able to appreciate the effort that was put into the production and mainly the effort behind the character development and the mental/emotional process that this anime portrays to the younger audiences or anyone really that watches it. Haikyuu will always have a special place in my heart not only because I've rewatched all the seasons on my own BUT because just seeing how some ppl, that were not into volleyball at all, have begun to love the sport or being interested into it thanks to this anime just somehow makes me very happy.

Note: it does take a while for Shoyo to learn to "tool". Loved the reaction, and my favorite episodes that you have to react to are Season 1 episode 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 15, 17, 18, 24, 25; Season 2, 3, and 4 all episodes.

I hope you keep reacting to the series. I love this series and it really teaches a lot besides just playing volleyball. In season 1, my favorite episodes are when the Libero (Noya) and the Ace (Asahi) are introduced. Season 2 is hands down my favorite season

18:04 Makes me curious about what she thought the show was gonna be like before watching, & how her predictions differed from the actual show. I'm impressed, too. As far as I can tell, she seems to be getting the gist of the story much more than some of the other 1st time watchers who tend to get "lost" due to their being unused to subtitles &/or watching & reacting at the same time (looking at the camera & missing tons of dialogues, etc).

OMG you're gonna love it so much!!! as a volleyball player myself, I always want other volleyball players to watch and hype about haikyuu!! the fact that you're a world champion an pro player, will definitely make you appreciate the anime so much more. the technique the illustrators capture is really so onpoint and realistic!!when I first heard of this I didn't want to watch it because I didn't thing they could really capture the movement, but they really did an awesome job!! It's one of the reasons I kept watching and loving it

One of the things I love in this show is how palatable the characters' improvements are. For someone who never played volleyball, it encourages you to think every time they face a new challenge and then feel like you're improving when they implement an idea you thought of 😂😂

My favorite episode, or I should say just one of my favorites, that really got me hooked onto the show, was the last episode of the first season. Just a pure volleyball game, a gold episode on competitiveness and athleticism.
@victoriapeechatt96333 жыл бұрын
In terms of the actual game, I loved the volleys in the most recent season, "to the top ii", I was holding my breath for most of the episode lol
