23 on LBSU side (Alex Nikolov) is indeed Bulgarian and the son of one of the all-time best in Bulgarian volleyball. He is holding great promise for the future of the national team and rumors have it that he will be playing in the men's national team in the summer.

@@paul-zx5du He already had the option to go pro but decided to go to the US so he can get a degree next to playing volleyball. But who knows, maybe the offers to go pro will become more appealing after all this attention lately

If am remembering rightly, during S3 in championship game, ESPN announcers said that Hawaii's O had three hitters, besides Thelle, w/12+ K's. And Thelle had 6-8 Service Aces(?!). At last report, ALL UH starters are coming back next season!

i think lbsu setter is trying to much, causing him to set inaccurately across the court. It could be that uh setter is able to use all hitters easily no matter what. an easy set is the best set

Erik, I respectfully disagree in your assessment that LB's setter is good. I honestly see him as the weak link in their offense. He is doing what every coach fears: he has his mind made up before the serve where he going. That's why he tries to make some wild cross-court bump sets to get it where he planned. The decision where/how to set has to be made AFTER the pass with a priority system. He also is is telegraphing far too much. If you watch the entire match the blockers have picked up on his tells pretty quickly and he isn't able to isolate a hitter.
