UCLA lived and died by the serve in that match. UCLA was up 17-13 in the fourth set and their service errors piled up and Long Beach ended up winning the set 26-24. TJ and Josh played at Huntington Beach High School and all through their club years on The HBC.

@6:43, #19 from LBSU, Siegfried - he uses that wrist away shot on his serve quite often. I’ve seen it on the KZbin matches he’s in. He gets a surprising amount of aces and bad passes off of it. It has a deceptive action.

I agree with you that players should let the libero get first touch when it's in their area. There was that one net error where both middle and setter (I think it was the setter?) who went for the second ball - such a no no

it all depends on the scenario...but in a perfect world the setter wouldn't take the first ball if another player can get it so they can set the second ball.

I was at this game and while it was memorable, at times it felt like a volleyball match breaking out in the middle of a clinic on how to miss serves. I love men's volleyball, but the game right now, especially Speraw's teams are almost unwatchable. The Men's game needs to change.
@ErikShojivolleyball4 жыл бұрын
I agree that it can be difficult to watch sometimes as a spectator due to service errors. Funny you mention that because Speraw would actually like to create a service errors limit per player! That being said, in mens vb today you have to be aggressive or the other team will sideout at too high of a rate.
