I saw his interview before the 1976 Olympics where he flat-out stated that he was going to be there again in 1980, and I couldn't help but believe him. Let's face it, he was the greatest Olympian of them all...regardless of what he says!!

ISIS McCain, thank you so much for your comment.....as it ranks at the top of thousands of comments our vintage videos have received....for it speaks to the real purpose of our site at www.imasportsphile.com which is to pay respect to the awesome athletes, entertainers, musicians and sportscasters of the Baby Boomer generation ....while providing a history of their generation as seen through their comedy, music and sports....a history that is already too soon being forgotten....so, we recommend you bookmark our site and do not rely on utube for our content...cuz we use 100 different utube channels under different names as "video weigh stations" for the 2300 hrs. of content we will load over the next 5 - 6 years....as you are sure to miss some "nuggets of gold" from our treasure chest of content if you don’t bookmark our site.

When he throws in his back garden he aimed for a large tree 75m away from the circle. In the 80s in a docu on steroids in sport, he threw on camera and yes....threw 75m. Amazing athlete and his speed in the circle is unmatched today.
