The viewfinder only shows the 4:3 composition, so yes, the wider aspects are for shooting in Live View with the screen.

If you're only shooting in Live View, then i'd recommend the G1 becuase it's meant to be used in Live View all the time.

Thank you Gordon, your E-620 review is actually a good tutorial for me. I just got a perfectly working condition cheap E-600 from a local thrift store (Goodwill). I don't even need the user manual after watching your video. The E-600 is almost identical to the E-620.

Actually the E-620 is one of the smallest DSRs around, especially with built-in stabilisation.

PS - and you can use any Four Thirds lens with an adapter, so you have plenty of choice.

Reviews like this one is what made me bought the E620 4 years ago. The small size and feature set was quite impressive for the time (customization, swivel LCD, better liveview, above average continuous shooting, etc). I'd say it's still a great outdoor camera. There were some downsides, some made more obvious with the passage of time (size of OVF, low light AF, DR, high ISO). I would have liked a successor to this camera, but Olympus is all in m43 now. The OM-D is the closest thing to it.

Good save all camera model video. Good info camera Usage and what features. Capture various photos and videos. There is such a thing. Many people buy good old cameras. There will be no information about the capabilities of the cameras. A lot of people on KZbin are looking for this topic about cameras that use. Which fits everyday or travel cameras. Both art sports and astrology take photos and videos. Keep up the good work. 😎 👍

I do a lot of concert photography and therefore use ISO 1600 and I use an olympus e510. If I upgraded to the e620 would I see major improvement in image quality at high ISO. The olympus e510 is really grainy even on ISO 1600. Cheers :-)

i have purchased Nikon D5000 after researching for 1 month....reason ... Oly ha dbetter kit lens, which outperformed canonikon lens at lower ISO...these guys r innovative, remember they came out with 1st live view and good dust remobal system...oly comes with inbuilt IS which was important for me as I am transitioning from PnS to dslr....better tilt and swivel screen than D5000...good value for money and good color....D5000 has HD and performs better in low loght...

Good review, but does not say anything about battery life and compartment and storage options. Battery life is important for enthusiasts and professionals alike. I am now stuck between NIKON D5000 and Olympus E620, one has HD (which is added bonus and can really be helpful....you dont have to buy a separate HD cam for videos. On other hand E620 have inbuilt IS....too helpful since any lense would work with it.

I dont click much in low ight...and even if I do..I will do processing in RAW and do some post processing...Video doesnt matter to me....build of Oly is better than D5000 as mentione din various reviews...including cameralabs....and u know whats cool art filters and glow light on the buttons in oly...helps in low light or night

Ja das war noch echte Olympus, die noch kleinere Pen F war zwar mein Liebling, ist noch immer zu teuer gebraucht, jetzt bin ich noch immer bei OM-1 , viele Vorzüge . Was mich stört ist der etwas größere Mount 4/3 statt m4/3 , dazu braucht es Adapter oder andere Linsen. Danke 2024
