I think the Olympus has gotten overlooked in recent years. I just bought a beautiful used mk2 in the titanium finish. I had a mk 1 and sold it a few years ago and always regretted it. The 4 or 5 cameras with which I tried to replace it never really ticked all the boxes like the Olympus did. Small, tilt screen, water proof, manual controls. I will try to get the setup customized so that I never have to look at those damned menus again.But like you said the menus aren't a deal breaker. I keep watching videos about the camera to make sure I did the right thing. I think it's all good. I will save up for the 12-40 now! Nice video. Cheers.

You HAVE made a great decision. I own several cameras, including the ~Sony A7iii and A7Rii but the camera I always pick up to take photos and some video with is the Olympus, why? I ask myself this every time I pick it up, but its beautiful in the hand, the grip is the very best I have ever used, controls are in the right place, et etc. Image quality is great as well, not the Sony full frame I admit, but certainly very good. I recently got the 40-150 f2.8 pro lens which I will be reviewing soon, The menu structure sucks though, lol, but than so do the Sonys!

Thanks! I love my Fuji x100t but the lack of a tilt screen makes it a real pain sometimes. The fuji colors are dreamy, but I just could not get excited about the xt-2. Just feels a bit insubstantial. The x-70 was too wide and had no viewfinder. Now if they had just put a tilt screen on the new Panasonic lx100 mk2.....and and and. I will try not to sell it for at least 2 years!

I have loved my EM-5 MKII and I can't wait for the MKIII (if they make one) I hope they make it more VIDEO CENTRIC since the recently released up model EM-1MKII is more for sports/wildlife minded shooters. They do have another EM1-X (flagship model) that is coming out, but I am most interested in the future advancements in VIDEO capabilities of what Olympus has to offer. Thanks for this video on this wonderful camera. 👍🏽

bought my 5mkii last week! I really like the video settings and functions!I hated filming with my Nikon D750 and the flat profile was not much worth fiddling with in hitfilm express!next month is probably where they will announce the 5mkiii since its their 100th anniversary!

Just got one with a 12-40 pro lens for less than 1000, finally decided to get a better body than my old epl5 (still good though). Been wanting to get a second body for a few years now, swapping lenses is just too much of a pain when traveling with kids you have to look after.

Do you have silent shutter selected? If so, it can't sync with flash.
