I get similar results with the 35-100 f2 and can work closer to the subject. Those 4/3 f2 lenses are incredible!

That lens look amazing I use the 75mm for all my portraits but that 150 rocks.
@GuamPhotography6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, sold it already, but glad I tried it out :)
@andytee886 жыл бұрын
My fav portrait lens is the Olympus 75mm 1.8, it has good enough compression imo. I can't use any lens that weigh over 300g, regardless of its image quality, it would defeat the purpose of me switching over to M43 for compactness

Yes thats very true, thats the next lens I'm gonna get :)

I explained towards the end of the video, that I thought the camera was on auto ISO :( it was actually set to ISO 400 :(

between this lens and the 75mm f1.8, what would you a nice blurry background?
@GuamPhotography2 жыл бұрын
I would do the 75mm 1.8 you dont have to stand back as far. the 150mm f/2 would result in a blurrier background.

I wonder why they stopped making this lens for micro 4/3? It's essential for sports photojournalism.

I see you also have Panasonic G9. Can you do a quick video showing how the Olympus 150 f2 focuses on the Panasonic G9?
@GuamPhotography4 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I dont have this lens anymore, but I did try it out on the G9, and it was really terrible. The E-M1M2 has phase detect as well (thats why its better), and the G9 is only contrast based focus, so the focusing with the Olympus 150 f/2 was very bad, it kept going back and forth trying to lock on, also slow :(
@chinitopinoy17264 жыл бұрын
@@GuamPhotography did it eventually lock on though?
@GuamPhotography4 жыл бұрын
@@chinitopinoy1726 yes it did, it was just very slow, and it kept going back and forth, repeatedly just to catch focus. Thats why I had to sell it :( but did a review on it with the E-M1M2 first.
@chinitopinoy17264 жыл бұрын
Also, in seconds, how long was wait time on G9 before it locked on?

@@chinitopinoy1726 it was long mabye around 4 - 6 seconds.

I shoot most portraits on my EM1 with a Zhongyi focal reducer adapter with a film lenses like the auto Sears 55mm 1.4....(a little thorium for balance in that lens ) You can get all the bubble bokeh you want.
