Paint the Town Red is our largest and most anticipated event of the year, bringing singers from all levels of our programs and every corner of Chicago together in the heart of downtown to celebrate and harmonize.
Written for Uniting Voices Chicago (formerly Chicago Children’s Choir), Sita Ram is a world musical performance combining many different cultures, styles and art forms. Using the great Indian epic, The Ramayana, as the setting, Sita Ram tells the Story of Prince Rama saving his soulmate Princess Sita from the power- hungry, ego-driven demon king, Ravana.
Prince Rama is helped in his quest by all the world’s creatures, led by the devoted monkey warrior, Hanuman. Not only is Sita returned to safety, but harmony and peace are brought to both the earth and universe with her reunion with Rama. Sita and Rama’s love conquers all.
