That got me thinking, what if Amelie somehow started gaining control back if her infra red goggles came off? Like she would become less of Widowmaker and more of her old self? I know that's not how brainwashing works, but that would be a nice concept as she relies on her goggles and they are in almost every costume that is most likely after the incident when she was controlled

Air forces do not put teenagers in control of experimental fighter jets; They employ veteran pilots who have thousands of hours of actual flight experience. Air Forces do train their soldiers in basic ground combat; It's called _Basic Training._ Tracer cannot be a green recruit, because she must have been an experienced military pilot and that kind of stupidity is not tolerated in military pilots who actually get to fly equipment that costs _hundreds of millions of dollars._
