Lyrics:
It is what it is
Oyaaayi
Oya uuhh
Oyaaayi
Oyayayi
Sometimes I’m happy Sometimes I’m sad
I don’t know what’s over me
Sometimes I’m good sometimes I’m wild
I don’t know what’s over me
I don’t know what’s over me
I’m over thinking everything
At times it feels like nobody
Can understand the way I feel
Coz I’m fucked up totally
I don’t know how to keep company
So I’ve been drinking cognac
I’ve been drinking too many shots of cognac
One for the belly another for the broken heart
Three for addiction four so I don’t go back
Looking for somebody wey fit watch my shoulders
So, I can never be sober
I can never be sooo soo uhh uhh
(I can never be sooo)
Ohh ohh
Yes i did it
How many million I make for a living
Wear my Louis Vuitton
Post for a pic
Let the camera light hit my teeth
You know
Nobody is better than me
Nobody is better than me
I do it differently
Everybody can see
But I don’t know what’s over me
I’m over thinking everything
At times it feels like nobody
Can understand the way I feel
Coz I am fucked up totally
I don’t know how to keep company
So I’ve been drinking cognac
I’ve been drinking too many shots of cognac
One for the belly another for the broken heart
Three for addiction four so I don’t go back
Looking for somebody wey fit watch my shoulders
So, I can never be sober
(I can never be sober)

I don't think people understand how stressful it is to explain what's going on in your head when you don't even understand it yourself....And to that one soul reading this: I know you're tired, you're fed up, you're close to breaking, but there's strength within you, even when you feel weak, Keep fighting. depression is real. 🇰🇪

Hey Omah, I know that you're not going to see this message but I just decided to let it out in case you get to see it eventually. When you came out with the news of you battling depression I was interested in it and at the same time, I could relate to it. I'm still in the healing process of depression, emotional trauma, and anxiety disorder. It affected a part of my brain and I lost my ability to speak well I also had a cardio muscular issue. When I listened to your new album I was able to relate to all the songs in it. Sometimes I just feel that whatever you went through, I can relate to it and understand where you are coming from. "Boy Alone" really gave me comfort and hope and I'm grateful for the courage you still have inside you to pull through the difficult times. The truth is that depression is not easy to come out of, but I believe that you will be fine. Thank you for always putting a smile on my face. Natasha ❤💡

I appreciate this song, it speaks for so many situations in many people’s lives. I am a psychiatric mental health provider but u have no idea how many relate to this song and self medicate with alcohol or drugs. Knowing that people like u in the spot light also struggle helps the lay man know they are not alone. There is help to manage this and live a more fulfilled life. Much appreciated Omay Lay❤❤❤ Please reachout to me if u need someone to listen.
