It always brings tears down my cheeks when I look at this guys! How on earth did they do it? The enemy was formidable and well equipped but to tell you the truth. They did it, though their corpse's were paraded to instill fear in the young man...it failed, it made them even more determined!!! I really hope that, that was that... And never more shall the young man have to die..this guys were a special breed, and while the Whites thought they were killing pigs...this mother's sent sons and daughters for a purpose! Now look at where we are. An example to the whole of Africa that, the violence was only necessary to free us from the white man... now that we are free, we work. White South Africa was mistaken. Namibia cannot be conquered. If they stayed in South Africa, maybe it would have been better...but their downfall was when they crossed the orange river!!

It seems that at least for Namibia the sacrifices of the struggle are justified. It seems. I do not know if there is large scale corruption in the country and how ordinary people live. As for the RSA the fall of apartheid did not bring real freedom, just the exploiters changed ;) I did my military service in the Lubango area long ago. We were training the PLAN soldiers. I still have the SWAPO / PLAN badges.
