Oman: Bull butting

We've been wanting to see the Omani version of bull fighting and one day on our way to Muscat we passed a large crowd in a field on the side of the road. We stopped to check out what they were watching and sure enough it was the uniquely Omani spectacle of bull butting. The bulls aren't really fighting, they clash heads and push until one gets bored and the 'fight' is over. There are no injuries other than occasional horn cuts and no doubt some sore bull heads. As you'll see the crowd has to be quick on their feet to get clear of retreating livestock.
