Omar Gooding is such a great actor. I think it’s a crime that this man has not been in more big projects. As great as Baby Boy is, it should not be the pinnacle of his career- not with the level of talent he has.

As one of those up-and-coming independent directors he spoke about, I reached out to his mom Shirley to try to get Omar in my project Coming to Africa back in 2019 and she was one of the nicest, sweetest people I could have met in that situation. She loved the concept of the movie, but Omar was just about to start shooting the new season of Family Time (91 episodes! lol) so he couldn't do it. But we had a long, great conversation and she gave me some advice and encouragement. I need to reach back out and let her see how it turned out. I know Omar would have killed the role.

Very intelligent and wise brother. I really enjoyed this interview. He has a great head on his shoulders and a good heart. I was able to gain alot from the interview, I have a similar religious background and relationship with my mother and grandmother similar to his mom and witnessing the presence and actions of God. I am an educator so hearing him talk about the mindset of these young actors and how they end up[ in trouble was very insightful. Family Time was a great show, but you had to lose your cable to watch it, I found out about that show because the tv we had at the job had no cable. We had to buy those square antennas from cvs and we got extra channels I never heard of, besides the network channels, (abc, cbs, nbc, fox). We got Bounce, Heroes, ION. I work highway maintenance for the state of New York so when we deal with snow and ice, we basically dorm at the job site, we don’t go home. The job doesn’t allow cable so we make do with regular channels where we have access to the news for weather updates. But we got tired of that shit so I bought the antenna and randomly looked through channels til I came upon Omar Goodings sitcom, which also stars the stunningly beautiful Angell Conwell❤

This interview was a lesson of what to do in the business for longevity, peace, and order. He stated the good and the bad in a positive way and didn't degrade or throw anyone under the bus. It's like he gave a class on how to interview with the press. Answer the questions, but keep it classy and moving.
