this man changed the way on how i see the guitar with what he does with fx pedals.

When he was doing the all experimental stuff his guitar playing felt so fresh and inspiring

Same. I had no interest in pedals or effects at all until getting into The Mars volta a couple years ago. Now I'm fascinated by the possibilities

Man Omar is the man I wouldn’t be where I am if it was for Mars Volta.

Is he tho? Dude was on the cover of Rolling Stone with BB King

@@mistermurse even if he was on the rolling stones cover 90 percent of guitar players don't know of him
@mistermurse2 жыл бұрын
@@danieltilleru3528 maybe unrecognized then? He is certainly not underrated. Guitarists who know of him and ATDI or Mars Volta are quick to praise his technical virtuoso and creativity.

I love Omar. Seems like a very nice, humble guy.

hes not ! i mean yea hes nice , but very stand offish , narcissist, prone to conflict with others. in general he just doesnt care about other ppls opinions
@burtbackattack2 жыл бұрын
@@iaoshua he's maybe a bit highly strung but I've met worse. He comes across here a as nice if a little shy. We all have different interpretations of people i guess...
@iaoshua2 жыл бұрын
@@burtbackattack he is like this IRL . he doesnt let the outside world get into his head so you have to gain his acceptance before you really get his motivs. highly intelligent ppl classically dont get along with others so i think in a sense omars shyness is just a front, generic server response.

Without the tuning pedal is quite difficult but ik people are good at tuning their guitars by ear 👂 omar is unique in his own way badass style his sounding sounds off but interesting 😎 👌

After a death of one of their close friends (and producer I believe), Cedric and Omar don't even drink coffee. They quit any sort of drug use and been sober since 2001 I believe
@sseltcarT Жыл бұрын
@@EsteBandido_YTCedric still smoked pots tho up until around 2009 (I think) when he decided to call it quits, since he thought it turned him into a terrible person and wasted a lot of money for them. But yeah, other than that he’s mostly clean. Omar has always been sober (or at least already in the process of sobering up during the infancy of The Mars Volta). He even credited being sober to an exponential increase on his creativity.

it's weird how "i'm an imbecile" never works, and backfires. it translates to "i'm conceited and pedantic"
