Huge inspiration. I've been on and off the bass for a long time, it wasn't until I deeply fell in love with Rush I started up again fully. The funny thing is, I play the electric guitar also but... I also have psoriatic arthritis so Geddy Lee style bass playing with arthritis has been HARD. I've such little use of my pinkie its become quite frustrating. But stuff like this, it's very soothing and well played!

JayDee basses are UK's Alembic; the neck through body is crafted perfectly STRAIGHT for super low action tuning. Darn good for slapping.

Its a JayDee bass aka an "English Alembic". Been around for 40 + years, Mark King played one a lot in the 80s and CBL (This channel) can be seen playing one live with Nick Kershaw during Live Aid.
