In today's video, I'd like to make sure you avoid having bad experiences on the MRI test.
The idea for this video came from responding to the numerous comments about the video on my KZbin channel "Claustrophobia in MRI - 8 tips" For those who have not seen it yet, I leave the link in the description and at the end of the video .

First of all, I want to thank everyone who subscribed to the channel. Thanks a lot. With their channel subscriptions, views, and comments, they have actively supported my channel and my work. To celebrate the 1000 subscribers, recently reached, I will create a live where I can answer all your questions live.
In the comments of the videos I understand that it can be difficult and complicated to find information, but by answering your questions live I will create an easier and more direct connection with all those who have questions about MRI.
I will publish the day and time of the live broadcast on the different social networks KZbin, Facebook and Instagram Linkedin.
As it is a KZbin channel in two languages, to avoid understandable confusion, I will not do the live in Italian and Spanish on the same day.
Leave me in the comments if it might be useful to do this straight and especially if you are interested in participating.
To date, I have responded to all the comments that have been made to my videos and I invite you to continue to do so.
But now let's get to the heart of this video. Answering your questions I have realized that for different reasons there are patients who have had bad experiences in the MRI test and have been negatively affected. Living a bad experience clearly leads to experiencing the exam, AND any future exam, with negativity and this would be very important to avoid.
The numerous safety questionnaires that are completed before accessing the MRI, specifically asks if the patient suffers from claustrophobia. If the radiology technician, who will be in charge of the test, is aware of this problem, he will take care of the patient with greater sensitivity.
Communication between patient and radiology technician is essential to create the perfect alchemy, a relationship of trust to be able to perform this radiological test in the best possible way. This is an exam that for many people can be very stressful.
It should be noted that the time available to transmit this confidence to the patient is not long. The increasing number of MRI exams always means less time to spend on the patient.
This is why the patient should speak openly with the radiology technician, he should not be afraid to express her feelings, feelings and fears.
It would be very helpful if the patient could give concrete examples of where they have had bouts of claustrophobia. If, for example, in a previous MRI exam or when entering an elevator, or if the fear is due to a specific episode that triggered your claustrophobia perhaps after an accident.
It seems correct to point out that it has happened to me several times to work with patients who did not know that they were claustrophobic. This means that they were entering an elevator, that they had never had particular episodes and were also surprised to have this fear, to have this phobia when entering the magnet. Clearly such a reaction could surprise both the patient and the radiology technician responsible for the test.
Fears of a patient may arise simply from the fact that he does not know the test that he must perform. For fear of asking irrelevant questions, people prefer to remain silent, which increases anxiety. This silence is absolutely necessary to avoid. By externalizing and expressing, by clarifying what you are afraid of, it will be easier to find solutions together.
